Skechers Premium. They are kinda shoe/boot-ish and they make a nice sound hitting the pad, so I can hear myself keeping beat. _________________

On my cobalt's I used to play barefoot, but after a few Exotic Ethnics or Maxes they start to hurt. Now I use socks sooo much better!
In the arcade I've found barefoot to be the most accurate, so long as I don't step on the bolts by accident and I have to bring my little pad cleaning kit(towels and a generic spray bottle filled with anti-bac soap cut with water) |

I used to wear normal running shoes, just cause they were light and sturdy. Now I use Macbeths, cause they're just like socks with a rubber sole. |

What are Macbeths? They sound pretty sweet for DDR! |

I have been wearing my New Balance 1005 for DDR. They have great foot support, but the problem is they are kind of bulky and heavy.
So I started to research what shoes are best for DDR. I actaully talleyed up all the recommedations on this board in a spreadsheet (yes, I am a nerd... I can post the results of the talley if you guys want).
I first went out and bought a pair of Onitsuka Tiger's. They are great shoes, light and responsive... but the way they are profiled you need to play on the balls of your feet. When I started to play flat footed, the arch supports started to dig into my feet. So I returned them.
I then got a pair of Adidas Samba Millenium's. These shoes are awesome! They seem much more durable than the Onitsuka's and have much more support for lateral movement. You can play on the balls of your foot or flatfooted just fine. I recommend these shoes to anyone in the market for a good DDR shoe. _________________

Shoes on hard arcade pads, socks on my flat pads, and barefoot on my ignition pads. Ignition pads are too slippery for socks, and flat pads are too sticky for barefoot. |

a good ol' pair of running shoes are best IMO, but my Etnies (flat skate shoes) make that cool tapping noise that everybody loves (or hates, but whatever) _________________

Well, I agree that skate shoes are pretty good, but I have these awesome sandal-type-things that are really light and comfy and hit the pads really well. I have no clue at all what they are, but they are really cool and look good. _________________

Right now, it would have to be the uber-cool and elite $80 DC Decade Danny Way's 10th Signature Model. They're a lot better than my old and worn DVS Jason Dill skateboard sneakers, which if I say so myself, feels like I'm stepping on death every time I play with them . _________________
