I'v been on Aaron In Japan and saw his "Amazing AAA Page" and I said to myself "I feel like the only person in the world whos never AAA a song". I tired everything to AAA a song, but I never can. How is it possible that Aaron, Take, Yasu and all the others can AAA songs. It seems too easy for them, am I the only one who feels this way?

Well, how long have you been playing for? My housemate has been playing for over 2 years, and hasn't even AAA'd a song on a home version yet (although if he tried enough, I bet he could AAA a light song fairly easily). Honing your timing takes a lot of practice. You ask professional pool players how long it took them to win a game on the break (by sinking the 8 ball or the 9 ball, depending on the game they were playing). It probably took them many years to do it. What you should do is take a song, and set a goal on it. Not a AAA, but maybe under 10 greats. Then once you get that goal, set another one under it (maybe 8 greats or less). Keep working at it, and you will eventually get a AAA. Try a light song first if it's proving difficult to AAA a standard or light song.

Don't worry about it too much, I myself.. have barely even AA'd anything..

Take, Aaron, Yasu.. are all hardcore players.. it's like their professional players (if DDR was a sport)...

Same here. Also, as Aaron says in aaroninjapan.com.

Quote:
Be aware that players such as Yasu, his brother Take, Koya, Hikki, etc., are tops in the Japanese DDR community, and have placed sickening amounts of money and dedication to be able to do these sorts of crazy things.

So they're really hardcore and have dedicated their life to it, in a way.

Those guys are hardcore players, and they have been playing DDR since the very beginning. That's a LOT of years to hone your skill.

I've been playing DDR for 3 years, and I haven't AAA'ed anything on Heavy (lots of stuff on Standard and Light though) - and I only play in the arcade anyway.

It's pretty stupid to concern yourself with people who are better than you. Getting better is simply a matter of playing more. I'm sure if you had years under your belt and were as hardcore as those guys are, you'd be just as good.

I've been playing since January this year. Can barely AA songs, and that's only if I'm lucky. It just takes lots of training and lots of practice, and, for me, a good home pad, 'cause mine is pretty much dead. Too cheap to buy a new one yet...

How good is your PA? If u can consistenly get under 5 greats on 1 song then go for the AAA. If not though just keep practicing your PA and you'll get it.

I have posted in the Arcade forums about timing, and no advice has really helped except the fact that the only real way to get better is to practice in the arcade a lot. The best I have ever done was getting a AA on Healing Vision angelic mix at an arcade. No ARCADE AAA's though. disgust.gif

If you can't post something nice, don't post anything at all.

I've been playin for like 2 years, and I've AAA'd about 5 songs in the arcade on heavy. But most of those were within the first year of playing. I think...

Aaron take and yasu have been playing for a lot longer than you!

Im going on almost 2 years of playing, Just recently I started to AAA on heavy (im only at 5) but I dont really try to get them, Im satisfied with SDGing a heavy, then coming back to it after I haven't played it in a while.

Dont shoot for the AAA, shoot for an AA with a single digit great. Let those rack up, then next time you see yourself playing an easy song like kind lady, you might be able to knock out the AAA first try!

I haven't AAA'ed anything yet. Can't even SDG a very easy heavy song and I've tried everything I can. I guess it's one of those things that you gotta wait for it to click...I've been playing almost five months, so I guess it takes longer than that. happy.gif

Don't feel so bad. Two years of playing and I haven't AAAed ANYTHING. Not even on beginner. (haven't tried)

It will arrive when it arrives.

Sure, I get better with practice, but I couldn't force myself to whore any one song until I AAA'ed it. As a result, I've got plenty of SDG's, but not a single AAA. If it wants to happen, it'll happen.

I'm killing this thread now. It belongs in Gameplay, and isn't contributing anything new.
