I think it could definately make things a little more interesting. I mean, imagine trying to make out U, D, L, and R when they are lined up vertically and the arrows are moving from left to right (or vice versa). And instead of it simply making it R U D L from top to bottom, they could do U R L D or something (so that it's not merely the arrows turned to the side). I think it would make for one heck of a challenge. No more recognizing patterns. Maybe they could throw this mod in sometime. What do u think? |

can't they do that on FFR? heh. it'd be a frick pain to read. because the arrows wouldn't even corrospond with their location on the pad. they'd all be downward ><" gah. i'd die. |

Actually, it wouldn't be too bad if you did the proper order.
U
L
R
D
Wouldn't be bad once you got used to it. It would never be as vertical scroll, but it wouldn't be unplayable at all. _________________

That would be so interesting..not to mention REALLY hard, but I'd do it. It took me a while to figure out horizontal arrows, why not vertical too? That is..if we ever make or get something like that..hehe. _________________

I can read reverse decently, so if this became official, things could get pretty interesting. |

They have a bunch of scrolling styles in stepmania, some of which are just insane. Like "boomerang", where the arrow go down to the bottom of the screen and then back up, so you have to play while ignoring all the arrows that are going down... it's weird. _________________

Too weird, I'll just stick with one arrow mod, reverse. _________________

Here's an idea, since everyone is throwing peculiar step-mods out... rotating position of where the steps are going/direction of arrows. That'd be quite confusing. But it would look really trippy, and that's cool, right? _________________

That would be kool, like the arrows rotating on an axis between Down and Up...hehe...
OOH! That gives me an idea! Changing the order of the arrows from left to right mid-song. Don't know how it would work, especially on something w/ killer stream, but between runs and stuff at a proper spot where it makes sense, it could throw in a bar's worth of no arrows, like the slowdowns in PSM but w/ no arrows during em, switch the arrows, then u get going again, . Imagine: PSMO. Stream at end starts w/ normal steps. Brief pause of about 2 seconds , then u get going again w/ arrows all screwed up, and it does that for each pause-ish area and even switches right before the death run! And I don't mean the arrows instantly change, more like fade away changing into the other arrows over the couple of seconds of no arrows. Mod name: Hell |

yeah ok I mean that's pretty obvious; of course there are gonna be 3rd party ddr programs w/ crazy mods, but I mean like for the arcade or official home ver. |
