Trick bar use...

lol is there a "proper" way to use it? Can it give me more stamina? or make me less tired? cause i heard if you use it the "right way" you can do a song thats hard and wouldnt be tired besides doing it the regular way and being tired....is this true?

yeah i'm a total bar hugger. i use it on songs like holic on heavy and junk but i use one hand. i tend to lose my balance on the song i don't know why. i guess i get alittle leg tied. also when i'm doing the legend of max god i worship that bar then. i have to hold it but any other time i'm not really holding it. i've see several people holding the bar and doing like....can't think of its name but its that really slow song. "it only takes a minute girl" that song or whatever. yeah dude i don't understand it. but who does?

i dont find anything wrong with using the bar. for some songs i dont have to, for others i do..like max 300(heavy). its soo hard with no bar, i cant even get to the freeze arrows without it =/

when i was playing max 300 tonight (first time passing it

) i didn't even realise it but for the first time ever i used both hands on the bar. it felt weird but it also made it like 10x easier

i really dont think you really should use the bar imo, especially on light . The only time i ever used it is when i was playin for a couple hours and my friend picked unlimited and half way through the song i didnt want to give up so i grabbed the bar with 1 hand so i wouldnt fall over from being so tired.

I actually use it but not for the whole song. Sometimes in the song I'll use it then I won't and so forth.

i use the bar on harder songs, and it helps me displace weight and strain onto my arms, allowing my legs to work faster. ive been told that bar raping is lame by some of my friends, but im better than all of them. its all about preference, and i dont remember who said it, but 'your dollar, your choice' is about the truest thing in this thread. as for the misuse argument, when the bars at the arcade come loose, then i'll see the error in it.

i dont bar rape just for the sake of it though. challenging songs or pa. bouncing around to witch doctor is so much more authentic looking than bar raping.

I could never use the bar if I wanted too. It's physically impossible to use that damn thing and still be comfortable enough to pass pretty much anything. It's just too weird having to len back against something. I do use it for one thing though...on Ecstacy(not the oni one) during that really long freeze, I run around the arcade then come back and jump over the bar hitting the

jump then finish the song XD I got close to getting a AAA once while doing that lmao

My one semi-regular use for the bar is in Mikeniko Rock. For the second to the last step I always end up facing away from the screen leaning backwards, so I grab the bar to not fall over. It looks like a freestyle move (which it sort of is), then I make a nice jump (landing softly, of course) to hit the last step, standing up straight.
