I am trying to get a team together, well, not really together, it's just me and my buds, but is there like, someplace I should register the team so we are acknowledged, or do we just get ourselves a name, website and matching appearance and go for it? Shay-Shay Ni!

You have to earn respect of others through your skills by way of tournament victories and things like that. Then MAYBE you will be acknowledged.
