Just out of curiosity, what types of songs do you prefer to do in public? Ones with interesting rythms for steps, or the unholily fast? I personally prefer doing onse with rythms that confuse underlings. Makes me seem like I am not as pasty pale as I appear. E15.gif

Either is impressive... my main requirement is that it be a song I know I'm not going to totally fk up E4.gif

I find LoM more fun than Burning Heat.

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

Speed, or like Drop The Bomb (System SF mix) because I always do hand drops, spins, and backflips on that song.

I like to do Max 300. The speed tends to impress people. Caution though, because hard songs can make you look like you don't know what you are doing, even though you can AA the song. People that do like 5 footers get the crowd, but when I play, the crowd leaves like I was dipped in liquified dead fish. goog.gif Play whatever floats your boat.

I'd go for like. Ones with steps that make it look like you're actually dancing. To me, Tsugaru is more impressive than some guy stumbling to keep up with a fast stream of easy steps.

Wow. I'm surprised at the amount of rhythm preferences here. Everyone I know likes to do the fast stuff. But I totally agree. Odd timing makes it look more like dancing, not just stomping like your out of your freakin' mind.

depends on the crowd. if they're a bunch of random spectators ill go for speed and stream(drop out, max 300, sakura). if i think there are ddrers in the mix i will do complicated stuff like R&P, xenon, tsugaru, burning heat.

I tend to never get crowds, but on the rare occasion that I do, and in the occasion that the crowd is positioned to where they can see the screen, I'll do bag on 1x flat. Spectators tend to be impressed by the compression of the arrows.

I personally like to do songs with LOTS of turns, like Exotic Ethnic for example. That song is wicked impressive IMO. On Doubles, any song that moces from pad to pad really fast I think is impressive.

I'll usually mix it up with something fun with spins (Frozen Ray... including spinning the end run, of course), something with turns (generally R&P, Exotic Ethnic, or Paranoia Rebirth), a hard 10 (Max300 or PS generally), and something in there that I can AA for gits and shiggles (Spin the Disk, Love <3 Shine, CSFIL:SM, etc...)
