What's on your feet while playing DDR?

I perfer converse. they are very light wich is easy to move in and they have alot of grip wich means your foot doesnt slide a bit. they are also good because they are flat footed so its like dancing bare foot but with padding.

I love to play in my vans. I dont like playing barefoot too much but i do sometimes. I've been playing in my chucks which isnt really that good they hurt sometimes but i'm pretty good on pain so it doesnt bother me. But i learned never to play in heavy boots or pants with bungie strings on the bottom, the strings get stuck on the bolts n it sucks when i do circles/freestyle.

I play barefoot regardless of what pads I'm using, even if it's the arcade. Barefoot gives an unrivaled response and feel.

Biggest blister I had was the size of a US quarter, but also a bunch of other smaller ones.

I don't recomend skate shoes because they are big and tend to slow your feet down. If you are a band geek like me, marching shoes (Drillmasters) work grandly because they are really light and allow for fast movement,

I used to play in my Converse. They're are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, which makes then great to DDR in. Plus they're nice a light, so you don't have a lot of extra weight to move around.

Now I play barefoot regardless of where I'm playing. I used to get blisters on my feet from playing the arcade (and some huge ones, they were too) but now the skin on the pads of my feet and my toes (since I don't play flat footed) have really toughened up. I don't get blisters very often at all anymore.

From past experiences...skating shoes only help when playing 8's and under. When i try to play 9's or 10's with them, i trip over the screws and stuff. Right now i use my favorite kind of shoe for it (also the kind of shoe uma thurman wears in kill bill), Onitsuka Tiger. It's made by Asic. But i hope someone can answer this question, i went to the DDR in NYC tourny this weekend (lol, i got raped by chris fire), i couldnt help but notice Sketch's shoes, they looked...like the ideal DDR shoes, anyone know wtf they r?

All black converse for me. Like two other posts above said, they're really light, nice grip, and they hold your feet tight.

I would usually daance in runnig shoes for fast songs.
But when i'm doing a Max song I would use a pair of old walking shoes.

i usualy play in my wal-mart running shoes, theyre realy light so getting to play in Rowleys but they kept on stabbing me in the leg ( i put spikes in the shoe lace holes) sometimes i see these goths play in these realy high fiery boot things though, and that looks hard.
