Since i started playing ddr i played at home. I play a couple games on friday nights in the arcade, but i cant do good. I am fine with the pad it doesnt bother me to change. I can see the arrows and read them fine. When i go to hit them i hit the wrong ones sometimes and mess my combo all up. I think im like gettin nervous or idk wat it is but i need some advice. Thankx |

That's the thing. You've just started at the arcade.
Just play more and you'll get used to it. |

Maybe it's the difference in the timing windows. The arcade timing windows are a lot tighter, meanwhile you are easily have the

It could also just be that you get goosey at the arcades from people watching you. I've known people that feel too pressured with an audience. _________________

Umm. I suck in the arcades too. But I don't think that helps you much. Just saying... you're not alone. _________________

1. Tilt your TV at an angle so that it faces somewhat upward, like the arcade
2. Make a small slot in the wall and empty all the quarters you have into it
3. Stick chewing gum to your pads, and for good measure, spill soda on them
Make your experience more like the arcade, am i rite?
though you might want to just consider the "perfect window" - its supposed to be alot easier at home than in the arcade... that and all the other little differences between the arcade and home versions of ddr _________________

I think i found the problem. I went to the arcade and just started playing with the posture i play with at home and i did better. For some reason i always slumped over at the arcade and then i missed arrows and it got me outta the groove then i kept missing more until i was at a c or d. When i made sure i stood a lil straighter i kept hittin the arrows kept myself in a stream and i was very calm.(shrugs). Go figure |
