BeatMania IIDX 10th Style

Guitar Freaks European Version is the only one I've played and it's shit, so no comment.

There is no drummania in the UK.

DDR 4th+ or 5th.

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

IIDX: I've only played 5th Style. frown.gif Couldn't say.

GF/dm: GF 6th, dm 5th, kbm 4th (multisession!)

DDR: Extreme, obviously... (the 2-years-old one, BTW)

DMX 2nd J-Append is of worthy mention, too. It'll make you hungry for DDR 4th/5th Mix, though.

Uh, that would be KBM 3rd. I'd be damned if there was a KBM 4th.

Mine?

DDR Extreme or Solo 2000
GF6/DM5 or GF9/DM8
IIDX 8th or IIDX 10th (if I ever got to play it =/)
Beatmania Complete Mix 2 or The Final

Mentioning DMX would be like mentioning PPP. The 2nd/3rd versions were generally the best, basically because it was the last, and not a whole lot were taken out from the 1st versions to begin with.

WHY ARE YOU GUYS SAYING 10TH STYLE!? THE TIMING IS HORRIBLE AND THE SONGS ARE JUST A SAME THING!! NOTHING CAN COMPARE TO GOOD SONGS FROM BEATMANIA SERIES (Disable the Flaw, Guilty, Code Red)
Rather be playing 9th style or 8th style.
Beatmania Final and III final are pretty cool though.

DDR: tied wit either 4th plus and Extreme

GF/DM 11th/10th mix in Japan (cuz they all have unlocks, how come SVGL and MGL couldn't get them!?)

I'm sick to death of 8th Style (although I am looking forward to the new CS songs), 9th Style isn't any better in terms of bad timing, and the song variety sound TONS more similar than 10th Style. I much prefer 10th Style's variety because it's not all the same sounding trance-progressive crap like with 9th (each to his or her own).

10th style has worst timing than 9th style. Most of the song sounds like remakes or sequels that we already heard like
5.1.1.->5.8.8.
Secret Rendez-vous->PlatonicXXX
Look to the Sky->Rise'N Beauty
V->No.13
Xenon->EXE
Brightness Darkness->Boundary
Starmine+BadBoyBass=Rainbow Rainbow
Mind Parasite+Big Voyager=Ghost Revival
Same old Traditional Remixes I heard many times on DDR like Setsugekka, Debtty Daddy, and 1st Samurai (they are all not by RevenG).

Same can be argued about 9th Style though.

I'm In Love Again
E-Motion 2003
Abyss -The Heaven's Mix-
BeRockU
Bag
PSM
Love Shine
Sweet Sweet Love Magic
Quasar (Sync)
Quickening
U Gotta Groove
...and whatever I can't think of at the moment.

As for timing, well, that's Konami's thing. I've heard some songs' timings are fixed, some aren't, but all-in-all, considering the ratio of songs, 10th Style does have more songs, and while they SHOULD have fixed it, they didn't. So well, I guess it should make sense that 10th Style would have "worse timing" than 9th...considering 10th does have more songs.

Let Them Move and Keep On Movin' are remixes of each other.

19, November sounds nothing like 20, November, even though it is the prequel. Must be because they are different days.

You know how some videogame manufacturers bundle titles together into a complitation game? A Bemani Best Hits would certainly be worth picking up. Especially if it's something like this:

-DDR Solo 2000 <-Arcade-style, Nonstop stages included
-DDR 5th Mix <-Add "MAX-style" modifiers
-beatmania 5th Mix <-CS version, total classic
-beatmania IIDX 4th Style
-pop'n'music 3rd Mix vs. pop'n'stage
-GuitarFreaks 6th/drummania 5th/Keyboardmania 4th <-multisession mania

Wouldn't you agree?

I've played Beatmania IIDX 6th, 8th, and Red, and 8th seems to have the most interesting selection. Though I'll probably play Red more if the price that A.I. drops a token on it.

Have played Drummania 3rd, 7th, and 10th. I don't know why everyone likes 10th, with the exceptions of Dragon Blade and Mountain a Go-Go. Most of the fun and unique songs on 7th - Complete Conquest, Chocolate Philosophy, Jet Coaster Girl, Mind Your Step, O Jiya, etc etc. - have been cut off of 10th in favor of mostly returning the more generic rock songs from earlier versions and the high speed, super-chops-only-can-play songs from the later versions. 10th is fun to play now and then for Toccata and Potpourri d'Marmalade, but I'd rather have 7th most of the time.
