I think it would be cool if some of the better stepmania / dwi songs with well made steps were given the chance to be in a ddr game. It's too bad they never have though to place a contest for it with the first so many places getting their songs into the next ddr game. I've seen many good songs with well made challenging step patterns that will never make it to a ddr game. *sigh, well i gotta order another set of metal pads before i can play them. |

I'm probably the only person in the whole world who wishes "Let Me Ride" by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Warren G and George Clinton and the Parliment Funkidelic (thats a mouthful) would be in the next DDR game. In fact, I would appreciate anything by George Clinton and the Parliment Funkidelic. |

more is always better. I always liked the ideas people had of some Dance Dance Revolution "Death Mix", one that had all of the 9 and 10 footers, plus some new crazy ones.
bah, but that wouldnt be very profitable seeing as how it would be tougher to make mixes that could compare later on and the fact that new players would never touch it. still would be awesome, though _________________

I'd love to see more rap music, most definitely. I feel they have a good rep of all the other genres of music EXCEPT that. I would love to see some Lil Jon, Jay-Z, and other fun/godly rap songs on my beloved DDR. Even if it was just general rap without the big names, it'd be welcome.
Lord knows I get a great techno fix off DDR anyway. _________________

I'd love to hear anything that wasn't crappy jap-pop techno, frankly.
The music is pretty bad in DDR IMHO. Any time you take a crossection of the most poppy types of music you are going to end up with a $hit sandwich.
By all means, load it up with electronic/techno music if you want. But not medicre, i-could-make-this-in-five-minutes-with-a-drum-machine-and-arpeggiated-synth techno. Throw in some epic $hit, like The Chemical Brothers (Private Psychedelic Reel would absolutely OWN and be tough to pass [long song]). Or if not that then AT LEAST some skillfully composed pop-tech, like Daft Punk.
Don't get me wrong, some of the music is fairly decent in Extreme, but so much of it is crappy and uninspired.
Better, more put together music = more epic ddr experience.
/end imho |

What You Waiting For - Gwen Stefani.
This song makes me want to dance for hours, and would be awesome in DDR. They'd probably have to edit it a bit though. |
