Problem with my dance mat...

Alright, I'm going to my friends birthday party Sunday and he wan'ts me to bring DDR. Well, it's been while since I've played, so I busted out the mat to remind myself, and I found a problem with my down arrow. It works, but only if no other arrows are being pressed. It's the Konami Dance Mat, soft plastic, any way to fix this?

Err, scratch that, my down arrow doesn't work period now. Doubt it, but any way to fix this?

Not likely to be easily fixable, but there's a thread all about the Konami Softpad, and just the Konami Softpad.
