So I'm just startin in DDR so I really suck laugh.gif But I was wondering do these more "expensive" pads actually make that much of a difference?

And out of these ones which one would you chose?
http://redoctane.com/ignitionpad.html - Red Octane Ignition v2 - $109.95
http://www.ddrnation.com/dx.htm - DDR Nation Ignition Dance Pad - $32.95
http://www.levelsix.com/detail.aspx?ID=20 - LevelSix - Deluxe DDR Dance Mat V.3.1 - $43.95
http://www.levelsix.com/detail.aspx?ID=56 - LevelSix - Non-Slip DDR Pad - $15.95
I was thinking about the BNS Ultra DX-Xtreme Dance Pad but after hearing about what some people on the board posting about how they changed the way they manufactured it then I didn't want to buy it... I myself was thinking about getting just a Non-Slip DDR pad for $15.95 since like I'm just starting out but would it make much of a difference? Which pad would you guys recommend?

Yes, my $300 Cobalt Flux that is a year and three months old which still allows for SDG's on 7's, 8's, or however high you can get and can handle 10 footers with the only misses being the fault of the player really makes a lot of difference.

As for the rest of the pads that you mentioned, I'd peruse the various threads related to each pad then make the decision based on that.
