shad0wzer0, i have a usb adaptor like that. its a kiky psx2usb converter, exact same design.

it doesnt work with my ddr soft pad, because when i press a button, its like moving the control stick. it "maps to axes only". I highly reccommend the parallel converters you can buy or build.

I went with the red octane metal pad. While this pad does work with my ps2 and max2, it seems to not work with the smartjoy plus adapter, though i have this weird feeling that im probably forgetting to do something. I checked all the hookups and stuff, and even rebooted a few times. I also tried the start+up+select trick as suggested, but to no avail.

Im thinking about ordering an EMSUSB2 as those seem to be the best, but before i do i want to make sure it really doesnt work with my smartjoy. Could someone help, or maybe someone else who has the same pad and adapter verify for me?ty.

it seems that smart joys are not compatible with metal pads. your best bet would be a parallel or a PS Joy converter. EMS might have a lag problem, so see if you can get the PS joy converter first.

At the request of someone over AIM, I tested my BNS XTreme with my SmartJoy PLUS, and much to my surprise, it worked!

Still nothing on the CF though (didn't bother to try the RO Ignition again).

which adapter would work with it ? [since i think its now a naki and not a bns since the wiring is in the control box]

if not naki does anyone know which adapters works with the vortz ddr pad?

Has anyone gotten the Super Dual Box working on Linux? I am having the problem described here (in short, computer recognizes it fine, it reports having buttons and axes, but then doesn't do anything when a button is pressed):

http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg10248.html

Note: this is a BNS USA branded adapter. No model numbers anywhere though.

OK - here's where I scream for help!

HELP!!!!

I got a SM cd set off of ebay for about five bucks and I am DYING to try some of the songs with my new Ignition 2.0 pad. My adapter of choice is the one sold on Red Octane that comes with a diskette of drivers.

My dilemma:

Awhile back my CPU became infected and I had to reboot the whole thing. I couldn't find my disk with the drivers ANYWHERE. So what I did was saved everything in the Windows Drivers folder to a CD before I rebooted the computer. So I see two ways out of this....
1) Have someone copy/sell a diskette of the drivers (really don't wanna pay 20 bucks plus shipping again.
-or-
2) Does anyone have that disk? If I knew the file names, I could see if those files are any of the ones I saved before the reboot and then I could just copy them over.

:sigh: In a worst case scenario I might have to buy another adapter set. But that one was the best one that I found to work with the Ignition pads, the only adapter I came across that didn't give me any trouble. Prolly because it came from RedOctane as well? Any help in this situation is GREATLY appreciated!!!!

it's one of the parallel adapters, right? you need to download the NTPad drivers. the link can be found on the first page of this thread.

um, try reading the section about the BNS parallel port adapter section. says something like "you'll need the NTPad drivers (found here)"...the word "here" is a link to a site with the NTPad drivers.

I have found a Playstation to USB converter online at Radioshack.com. I am wondering if this adaptor would be compadible with a Playstation Dance Pad before I purchase them.

Here is where I found it:

more than likely the answer is no. you're better off getting an adapter from an online store. if you want to IM me about it feel free. my SN is the same here as it is on AIM.

Okay, I have a problem.

I ordered a Super Joy Box Duel USB adaptor from playasia.com a month or two ago.

It worked perfectly. Up until recently.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, it won't register opposite arrows at the same time-- WHICH IS EXACTLY WHY I GOT IT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

WTF THIS IS THE THIRD ADAPTOR I'VE GONE THROUGH I HATE MY LIFE
