Honestly, if there were more PIU machines where I lived I'd play this more than DDR..... probably. |

My apoligies if this has been asked before.
1. Are there console games of PIU on PS2?
2. Can a Cobalt Flux pad be used to play these games (if they exist)? _________________

1. Nope, Only on PC
2. If you have a version 2 cobalt flux and a PC control box you can use it on the PC versions. Its not known yet for PIU PS2 yet though if you can use one, but most likely you could. |

Exceed comes out Nov. 11th. The 18th is when IIDX 8th Style/Pop'n 10/DDR Festival come out.
Speaking of Exceed PS2, are there any online retailers taking orders for it yet? |

Yeah, I would like to find out resellers as well. I might have to pre-order this!

Wow, PIU is fun!
I've been trying it out as of late, and I like it. Not as much as DDR, but it's still fun and more challenging.
The interface on Exceed is absolute crap. Doubles was retartedly renamed Freestyle, so I never figured that out and couldn't try it. It took me two plays to figure out how to get out of the Banya stuff, and I saw three people have their time run out on them and have to play Xtreme Normal.
I don't like how on Pump the arrows are the same color, so It's hard to distinguish between Jumps and quick 16ths. Oh yeah, I also hate how there are NO sons in the game that are only eighth notes and quarters, so it was made even harder by having to distinguish. And the epilepsy backgrounds don't help much either.
I will say that the arrangement makes it a different game than DDR, which in turn makes it as fun to play.
There are a lot of silly little issues with Pump that Andimiro needs to work.
And there should be more freeze arrows. _________________

Andamiro had the system worked out pretty well on Rebirth/Premiere 2... it just needed some slight improvements.
it featured this set of modes :
Easy
Hard
Crazy - You could change between these difficulties by pressing the upper right panel 3 times (speed mode code was the opposite top arrow)
Double
Half Double - Chooseing either mode would lock you in
Division - This mode only had 23 songs available and locked you in, however it had a lot of replay value, you could cause multiple hard step patterns by pressing in certain combinations - this mode also allowed seperate difficulties on each side - each player was able to change the mode during the song.
So using this model all Andamiro had to do was have the song wheels but have an icon with one panel assigned to changing song wheels (Up right would be idea) then after song is choosen the modes appear... come on there is no reason to go back once you've selected a song... so cut that option out.
Place back in the old speed modes... and bring back Division mode... that would be nice. |

Old Speed Modes? What do you mean? In Exceed, its 2x, 3x, 4x, and 8x. |

I meant old speed mods, but since I accidentally typed that while have asleep they might as well bring back the Rush modifier too.
By the old speed mods I'm refering to the much quicker code - pressing the upper left panel 3 times... then when I want to deactivate a speed mode I don't have to machine gun step on the blue panels... it's annoying... and the speed mod code from Technomotion (same codes from PIU Extra) is extra long... it involves pressing the center panel and occasionally I enter it too fast for the CPU to even process it, also have seen a great deal of people accidentally select some crap song due to this code.... Technomotion didn't use the center panel to select songs, thats why the code worked for it... but PIU Extra was rushed to quick and Andamiro seems to prefer that rushed game engine still... with a few modifications... |

The artist is Banya, which is the in-house artist for Pump It Up. You could say it's like Naoki and Sota. However, Andamiro doesn't use aliases like Naoki or Sota. I don't think the individual artists performing under the Banya name are credited. _________________
