So I went to the arcade today to ddr.. I'm paying for it now, I wore shoes too so my toe is just aching. It hurts to walk or anything and I failed 3 out of 9 songs because my toe started hurting. But I really don't know if I can wait another couple weeks.

Actually, this happened over the summer during my vacation in Florida.

4 days of DDR, nonstop, barely any breaks except food and rest (for we had to wake up at 6...)

Result: couldn't walk on feet for about a week afterward, huge blisters that turned into superhard callouses....sore legs, sore feet (for I am naturally flatfooted and play on toes) exhausted. Plus, I slept on the floor. Not good.

and during my field trip to Six Flags...ate half an apple, 6 bottles of water... exhaustion of leg power to a point that I had one of my friends to lean on for support on the long way to the bus...

Moral of the story: Don't overdo it. Play, Watch, Rest. Lather and repeat.

I have been injured too severely, but the worst thing that has happened to me is I got a little off on the pad so I ran into a screw, scraped my foot on the edge of the pad, and the stepped on the corner about 2 or 3 times during the song. I decided I might be having a bad night and decided to quit. Pfft... for like ten minutes! Then I got up and A'd Afronova. Then I stepped on the corner of the pad again and quit for the night...BUT ONLY FOR THAT NIGHT... MWUAHAHAHAHA!!!

Yeah, OK, I'm a little on the weird side...

This is really dumb, but I was playing Tsugaru heavy and fell off the pad during the gallops. Got up very quickly and finished the song but ended up hurting my ankle. Interesting to note, that was my first time passing Tsugaru. happy.gif

And ever since I've been really drilling on Heavy mode, I'll be alright when I'm playing but I'll be walking later and my shin starts hurting alot. Guess that's a sign i should take it easy right?

The first time I ever played ddr in the arcade caused my feet to blister so bad, the blister was the size of my foot. It took about a month to heal, as I had warn through it while playing. ( I had returned to my friend's house and I was complaining about how my feet hurt, and then I said something like, "wouldn't it be funny if I pulled off my shoe and my soxs were all bloody." ... then they were goog.gif

I stubbed my toe...on a soft pad.

It's not a major injury, I know, but I was just so bloody surprised that I didn't really know what to make of it.
