I recently went to a friends' house and brought my pads. Thing is, he has a 64" LCD Projection TV. I had a big problem seeing the arrows even though they were the size of my hand. Anybody else tried this? _________________

Arrows the size of your hand is way too big. The note chart field of a musical game can't be too big, otherwise it's impractical to be able to keep track of any sort of complex note pattern. You have to be able to view pretty much the entire area at all times. |

That'd be interesting. Sounds like it'd be pretty tough. Although, now I want to try DDR on an IMAX screen. _________________

Well, the best thing to do is move yourself back to proportion the arrows to ones normally viewed. So, I think an extension cord is in order. _________________

Speaking of projection tv's, I have one, not nearly as big though. I have no problem with it when I play ddr, but on the ddr manual it says not to play the game using a projection tv because it may ruin the said tv.
Does anyone else have this concern? |

Every game says that. My friend plays DDR all the time on his TV and it hasn't done shit yet.
But yeah, I was playing DDR at his house and it's really much harder to play with that big of arrows. My timing gets screwed up too. _________________

The waning that comes with all games about projection TVs is because stationary images from games (such as health bars) can burn images into the screen. You don't need to worry about it. _________________

I played over my friends house this weekend. He has a 1/4 HD Projector and a movie screen in his basement. The arrows were huge and he messed with the aspect ratio to make it fit widescreen so the arrows were distorted.
I would not recommend playing like this. I had to move my head side to side to PA! _________________

Yeah. I have a 70" in my media room. Hard to follow, but pretty fun never the less. ( 2 people have to hold the sides so it doesn't tip over from step vibrations ) _________________

long story short. my friends nephew who is like 2 is very active but shuts up when a movie is on, preferrably finding nemo. we always let him fall asleep with the dvd in. the tv is on 24/7 so when the movie ends it goes to the main menu. so now the words FINDING NEMO are burned on it really strong that you can see it clearly when the screen is blank. _________________

Is it possible for the movie to endlessly loop? |

Let me clear something up. You can play on a projection tv. There are just a few things you must remember. If you have a LCD t.v., you are fine but if you play on a Plasma you probably should watch a few hours of programing afterwaards to prevent burn-in. _________________

This is what it says on the first page of just about all Playstation 2 game manuals...
Quote: | WARNING TO OWNERS OF PROJECTION TELEVISIONS:
Do not connect your PlayStation 2 console to a projection TV without first consulting the user manual for your projection TV, unless it is of the LCD type. Otherwise, it may permanently damage your TV screen. |
There was a guy who posted a picture on the SOCOM II boards of his once nice non-LCD projection TV after playing SOCOM II for a few weeks on it. The HUD was permanently burnt into the corner of his screen. It's a very expensive lesson. _________________
