well, lately when i play ddr at home (no shoes) my feet start to kill after 5 min of playing. although, really my ancles are hurting, like i can walk anymore, i have to sit down. but, i didnt play ddr for a month cuz i was moving (into a new house) and stuff. so do i have this pain cuz i havent played in a long time, or is this a SERIOUS MEDICAL CONDITION !!!CALL 911!!!!!!!!!! HES NOT GUNNA MAKE IT!!!!!!
ah hem...
also, im confised about the whole PS-USB joystick thing. like, updown and leftright wont work. someone said "I've heard a simple solution is to hold "UP + START + SELECT" for 3 seconds, then load up Stepmania. Proceed to set your keys in the controller settings, and it should work."
will that work? or will i need one of those joysticks converters that work with all updown and leftright ect. _________________

I'm pretty sure it's for the people that have bulky and big muscles from working out that have this problem. You have to stretch a lot more, that's all I know because my friend has the same thing happen to him. _________________

Here is the best guide to find a working adapter to play Stepmania with.
http://www.stepmania.com/stepmania/adapter.php
Also the Red Octane metal pads have USB control boxes made for them. Cobalt Flux dance pads are going to get the exact same thing this November. |

I think you just need to get used to demanding movements of DDR again. When i first started out my feet hurt too for about two weeks in light mode. Then again i used to play for three hours at a time... |

Are you flat-footed? If you have flat feet you may not be used to moving a particular way on ddr, which you may have developed before. Also you may be twisting your feet or putting them down incorrectly, idk. I have flat feet, but their flexible flat feet, so unless i come back to ddr and start of on something like maxx unlimited, this isn't really a problem for me. Try stretching out calves _________________

If this is a pain you didn't get before you moved and stopped playing for a month, then I highly suggest you see a docter about it. After only a month, your feet shouldn't get that relaxed (for a can't think of a better word at the moment). I just recently moved as well and up until about a week ago, I hadn't played for two months and my feet are fine. And even before that I went about five or six months without playing more then a couple games but when I started played all the time again, my feet didn't hurt that much.
It's entirly possible (but not likely) that your arches have fallen since you last played. If that's the case, I'm very sorry cause DDR's gunna hurt for a long, long time. |
