So, we've finally gone in and created a forum devoted exclusively to discussing Bemani controllers and related hardware.

What goes here? Anything about pads or Bemani/musicgame input controllers. This includes the EyeToy for DDR Extreme/Festival, though since this is only limited to one game edition at the moment, its future is rather uncertain. You can also talk about Pop'n controllers, BM/IIDX controllers, and stuff like that, whether it's retail or homemade.

The format for this forum is still up in the air, but here's what I'm thinking: One announcement for the DDR threads which has pictures of each pad - You find the picture that corresponds to your pad, and then use that to go to the sticky for that thread. We'll have a sticky for each pad model (yes, model, not pad brand or type). You can discuss to your hearts' content there, or make separate threads if you want. We'll go pretty leniently on thread-locking for a while as we figure out what system will work best for everyone involved.

Since the majority of these boards are devoted to DDR, the majority of the forum will be DDR, but there can still be stickied threads for Pop'N and BM/IIDX discussion. If we need discussion for anything else (PIU, Donkey Konga, KBM, GF, DM, PPP, whatever), we'll see how it goes.

Please feel free to give us feedback on how well you think this would work. We'd like to set this up for it to be best for everyone involved.

Excellent idea. A lot of the discussion that goes on in the video game forums is ABOUT VG hardware, so this makes it easier to find. Great thing to do.

Controllers and related hardware? I have some questions then.

Will arcade forum strictly be about playing the game and mechanics of working the game? Will arcade hardware help go in this forum?

Console forum, is that now being devoted to software?

EDIT: I just realized the forum was already 31 pages. Did you guys search for anything containing the word pad or controller and move?
