my metal pad wont read jumps like updown or leftright..it works on th eps2 but the jumps dont work on my comp

What type of converter are you using? If you're using a Joypad, I've heard a simple solution is to hold "UP + START + SELECT" for 3 seconds, then load up Stepmania. Proceed to set your keys in the controller settings, and it should work.

you can find lots of information about metal pads in the DDR Console Games forum... if you don´t find the info you´re looking for, then make a thread there
