Please note that i am ignoring songs that occupy more than 1 stage.

Shortest:
Keep On Movin' = 1:09
20, November (DDR ver.) = 1:10
If You Were Here = 1:14
5.1.1. = 1:17
Jam Jam Reggae (original ver.) = 1:14

Longest:
Kakumei = 1:51
Colors (for Extreme) = 1:52 (radio edit's 2:02, original version's 4:47)
Daikenkai = 1:47 (originally 1:54)
V (for Extreme) = 1:47 (originally 2:08)
Gradiustic Cyber (original ver.) = 1:47

Longest BEMANI song in existance
Fur Elise (from Keyboardmania 3rd) = 2:58, and it takes up only 1 STAGE!

Ever notice that most of DJ Taka's songs besides Daikenkai are nearly 2 mins long. E15.gif

The mp3 I have of Hot Limit (5th mix) is 3:04 but I've not played a 5th mix machine, so I'm not sure if the whole thing is used on the machine.

Yes it is but that is a long version, which we are excluding in this thread (along with the Dynamite Rave Long Version, Oops I did it Again, and B4U Glorious Style).

Actually, the song A is 2:09. Or at least the version from the CD is, I don't know if it is accurate for the Extreme arcade, but I'll remember to check it out. It's such a beautiful song too, which is a plus.

So thats why Daikenkai seemed so long.

I thought those stupid steps just made the song seem longer.

That is the IIDX version. The DDR version was cut.

Uh...

1) dj TAKA didn't do Daikenkai; Des-Row did. Two entirely different artists.
2) The original version of Daikenkai, from Pop'n Music 6, is 1:54. Which is nearly 2 minutes.
3) dj TAKA is the sound director for Beatmania IIDX. IIDX songs tend to run around 1:50-2:00 as an average. Thus, it's not really surprising that most of his songs are on the longer side.

Graduation is pretty long too 1:45. Dang long songs. Probably also the most boring one in history. But a good FMV behind it biggrin.gif I like that one.

I also think that Daikenkai seems long. Infact my friend STeve called it "The song that lasts forever" it just seems to repetitive and stuff that it makes you feel like you are playing it forever.!!!

I know I am your proxy mod and everything. However, I am going to have to side with the freakaholic on this one (rare).

He is saying that list is mostly composed of DJ Taka songs, except for Daikenkai. And that Daikenkai is also as long as many DJ Taka songs. Just possibly not in the most understandable way.

Twinbee is only 1:09.

Quote:
Let Them Move = 1:00 (maybe 1:02).

It's 1:18.

And BTW, the longest long version song is Oops! I Did It Again (3:05).

If that's what he meant, then that's fine; I think a more accurate statement would've been:
"Ever notice that most of the songs that are nearly 2 minutes long besides Daikenkai are DJ Taka's? E15.gif"

The third point still stands as to WHY his songs are generally on the long side though. E1.gif

We need the damn long versions back.

For everyone else, starting putting this thread in your history. You probably wont see me side with Freakaholic against Remy again. Blue moon and all.

Uhh..I know that! I was saying Des-Row's Daikenkai sounds like it's as long than most of DJ Taka's songs.

Okay, so I made a mistake.

I want long versions back also, I mean Daikenkai Long Version would be good along with a Blue Impulse Long Version.

I also noticed that most DJ Taka songs do tend to be longer than other ddr songs. Mostly because they were not made for DDR.

That is either a lie or not a real Extreme. Extreme doesn't have long versions of songs.
