The first time I played was at my house lol. My boyfriend was a major freak and brought it over and I was like WTF? So he's like try it and the first song I picked was Sweet Sweet Love agic I think I failed because the pad really sucked. I tried Max 300 that day....let's not go there..

I first saw people playing the game at the local arcade, but they were hogging it and I didn't get a chance to play. Then, a friend of mine brought it to a fried of mine's house, and I was there too. I played it, and I loved it, even though I wasn't very good at it (getting D's on 3 foot songs). About a month later, I got DDRMAX and 2 pads off of ebay.

When I first Played, I passed my first song(no clue what it was though). I failed my second, Then the machine broke and I didn't get to play again for two months.

When I played again, I didn't fail for another five rounds. Then I tried Saints Go Marching on Standard, and Failed. I passed it later that weekend, but that was my last song.

I didn't get to really play again till I got the game, and it's history ever since.

I first played at a friends house, and could get a b or c on most 1 and 2 footers. After a while I could do Sandstorm and Look to the Sky pretty easily on light. After about 2 weeks I could do six and seven footers(at home), and have now been playing for about 2 and a half months. My first time at the arcade I could do pretty good on 6 footers(AA'd Look to the Sky), but then miserably failed on Candy.

But as of yesterday I mastered heavy on DDRMAX

I spent $3 failing before I realized you step on the arrows when they meet the arrows at the top. And that was only during my second trip to the arcade.

I had no idea what foot ratings were and picked bag because it was low BPM. I think smoke came out of my ears as all those arrows suddenly appeared on the screen.

First song I played was air. I did that on beginner and passed it (didnt' even bother to discern my rating). Then I felt so awesome that I tried to play it on standard. See above comment about smoke coming out of my ears.

I discovered DDR at Splash Lagoon waterpark in Erie, PA this past February and I'm thinking, I can do this..no sweat. It was my turn and I was all confused. I know my first songs were Little Bìtch and The Reflex because I was a newb and I fit the stereotype. laugh.gif I sucked so bad especially at the arcade inside the indoor golf center in Erie. I thought Light mode was insane.

Cheers!

When I first started I failed Cutie Chaser on Light! I kept playing because it was just fun to play. The songs I remember are oops I did it again, the twist, cutie chaser, dancing all alone. I failed all those, but then managed to get c's for awhile. I then got max for the ps2, and tried drop the bomb on my first standard song and got owned. I laugh whenever I remember how much I sucked.

My first time playing DDR was a commonly seen scenario:

stand timidly near machine watching people play, walk up to the machine, put in my tokens, ask "what is the easiest song?" stand in the middle of the pad and play rfo and get mostly goods and almosts. Then after 30 seconds through the song, get too embarassed and walk off the pad saying "thats too hard" with a little fake chuckle to hide my embarrasment.

I started anciently, on 3rd mix Korean, in 2001. I played Butterfly basic, and passed with a C.

Of course, I had a little encouragement from the guy I had been watching for the last twenty minutes; he pretty much forced me to get up and try.

That was when I was eleven. I didn't really get on a machine again until I was fourteen; it was a MAX2. I can sum up my talent in one comment: I actually thought it was impossible to get A's. Like, inhuman.

...Three months later, I'm in a tournament, and passing Holic heavy with a B. ^.^

For some reason, I got used to DDR pretty quick. I was on 5-6 footer Standard songs within my first 3 hours of DDR. Too bad it's taken me months to get out of my rut. It, literally, took me 3 months of non-stop practice just to pass Tsugaru Heavy.

I have the XBox version, ultramix. Anyways, when I first started playing, it took me a week to start passing even 3 footers. I used to have apsalutely no sence of rhythm and just sorta looks at the arrows and got way to many goods and such. But it has been 6 months now and I can now pass Max300, so give it a lil time, and you will definantly be good before you know it.

The first time I played, my friend put me on standard and I never played before( I don't know why she did that...she never thinks before doing something) and I think I was doing a japanese song and I failed right away. Then I never played ddr for a year and later my cousin got me into it.

i was at this place called TNT where you can play any game without having to use like tokens or money or anything, it's all free. me and my friend started playing (on light) and we played the same song (i think it was called "it's a miracle" or something?) through the whole time. i didn't do bad at all. the first few times (more like 20) i seen it, i thought the game was queer as hell and the people playing were even stupider.. but now 2 months into the game.. loving it and spending 5+ hours at the arcade.. id say that ive given more appreciatism (i hope thats a word) to the game.. by the way, I was pretty bad.. although after 2 days i could do R&C on light, seemed so hard then but as i look back at it, i say to myself.. good god this is ez
