I made the pad for xbox so i need a xbox to ps2 convter so i can then buy a Ps2 to usb converter but i cant find the xbox to ps2 converter so can any body tell me where i can get one. I already went on google and yahoo.
Or if some on can find a xbox to mac converter |
your mac has USB right? then make a xbox to usb adapter....
xbox is already usb so you just need to buy like and extension cord or something with an xbox end on it then find a usb end from something and splice them together, they are even color coded to match just ignore the yellow wire on the xbox end. and then here are the mac drivers for an xbox controller...

Off of above subject:
Since my CF came I messed with my psx > usb adapter from radioshack and from the 10 mins I messed with it before work I couldnt get it fully functional. Im currently at work so Ill do more messing in the morning (Im on night shift now) I put joy2key on but like stated in a previous post somewhere most keyboards dont let 2 keys pressed at once so if your standing on one button one of the others wont work. More to come later... |

the joy2key program will not allow radioshack usb adapters to work correctly. I've tried every key combination, and I've deduced that it is a hardware problem with the radioshack adapter itself. even if you map the axis to computer keys, the adapter won't allow opposing axis to be pressed at the same time, so your keys won't activate. you really should just get a different adapter.
EDIT: wow, this is my 1000th post

yeah, there isn't much to figure out though. unless you bridge your pad or somehow manage to alter the hardware (which I doubt is even possible) there isn't anything you can do to get a radioshack adapter. good luck though. |

best thing to do is check the return policy. compatibility with CFs has been pretty hit or miss. It SHOULD hopefully work, but incase it doesn't you want to be able to return the adapter. |

you could try the super dual box, or the PS Joy Converter from lik-sang. go to the adapter listing at stepmania.com and I believe the PS Joy Converter is the first one listed. that one could possibly work well, though it is rather expensive for a single player adapter. |

the parallel adapter is supposedly THE most compatible adapter out there. the only problem is you have to install drivers for it and you can only have one pad hooked up at a time, while with a single player USB adapter you can hook up two through different USB ports. I imagine it would work fine, as no one I know personally has complained about compatibility issues. The adapters were very hard to come by until recently (for awhile you could only get them with BNS ignitions), so that's why everyone started going for USB adapters. but yes, the parallel adapter should work fine. it's good to see that they are becoming more available. |

Has anyone gotten the Super Box4 working wiht a ddr mat? On the box it claims it works fine with ddr pads but L+R makes it act all weird. I tried holding Select+Start+Up for 5 seconds or so but it dosent seem to do anything

If you make any progress with that radio shack adaptor, let me know. The box on mine advertised it saying that it is compatible with dance pads, and the drivers menu even lets you test the pad, but it does unfortunetly have the axis problem. The model is different than the one pictured here on the post- mine is blue and back, with a PSX-TO-USB logo on it. It works great with dualshock/rumble, so it wasnt a total waste of cash. |

yeah, it's false advertising. I first bought 2 radioshack adapters (because I wanted to play 2 player of course!). went into the button test and saw the "dance pad" test screen and was all excited. that is until I played SM, found out that not only did it not register axis correctly, but that it LAGGED. so unless someone finds a fix for this (good luck...I'll never have to post in this thread again if you do ), anyone with a radioshack adapter is SOL. |

pantera has stated that it is incompatible with CFs. you are free to try, as these things sometimes very from person to person, but I wouldn't expect it to work. stick with the PS Joy Converter, BNS parallel port adapter, or EMSUSB. |

Ive never personally used a RedOctane metal pad, but I would expect them to be decent. I'd say if you have the skill and the means, read up on the stickies and build your own metal pad. I'm in the process of getting the supplies for my own. It's a lot cheaper than a metal pad, even before you factor in the shipping costs. |
