You must be playing Light Mode horribly because you're not always going to step to it anyways.

off topic: i just learned about Buddha today and i heard of that name, did you get it from it?
on topic: you are just plain ridiculous you know that, DDR music is like almost as good as Trance and Techno, and you hardly hear any of that type of music anymore (damn rap and boyband generation)

erm, almost every song every created has a "beat". I don't seem to recall any gregorian chants in DDR, and seeing as the arrows at the top flash to the beat, there obviously is one for every song in DDR. you just need to develop your rhythm.

There are some songs that are not all that, but to say you wish you could remake them makes me laugh. Like you can do better. You know what yours and Clash/DDR's problem is? You guys just don't got no rhythm. So don't blame the song for having no "beat" as you put it, because you don't see anyone else complaining about songs having no "beat".

Couldn't of said it better myself. The arrows at the top of the screen don't just flash at a certain tempo for the heck of it you know. Just because the pulse of a song isn't prominent, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

... I sure hope you're not putting down songs like Xenon, I feel..., and Gradiusic Cyber just because you lack the rhythmic skills to score well on them.
If not, please give some examples of what you are talking about, and be specific as to what you mean. What is "chaos" but "no rhythm?" It sounds like you have no idea what you're talking about.

Just because it isn't all boom-clap-boom-clap doesn't mean it lacks rhythm.
*imagines Siddhartha attempting to play some of those Jimmy Weckl pieces on Drum Mania, shudders*

Every song has a beat, but sometimes the steps go to the music.

Every song has a beat. Sometimes, the steps go with the music, sometimes, the song itself is just dumb, so the steps that go with the music are too hard to read(ie: The Least 100 Sec.). Eventually, you'll be able to find the beat for all of them by gradually building a metronome in your head.

Despite the fact that the beat in some songs is significantly more difficult to pick up due to its irregularity, there are no songs in the game that do not have a beat. Furthermore, the fact that you believe that a random person could improve a lot of the songs suggests to me that you know little to nothing about music aside from what you hear on the radio. My guess, based on complaints/comments I have heard from other people, is that you are referring to songs like the Paranoias, Trip Machines, and maybe some others. The nuances of all of the Konami original songs are much more difficult to master than "some computer nerd was given a keyboard."

If you think you're so good, I challenge you to write an original song and submit it in the Simulator forum. We could use some good original songs.

This thread made me laugh!! laugh.gif Remake a song? PLEASE. If u feel ur that good go make a SM/DWI and make ur own song. If u can do that then ill stfu right now. As far as the first guy, try playing on training mode and using the metronome and handclaps which i think someone suggested already. Also if u can try and get the music somehow and listen to it alot. Or turn ur tv up REAL loud. That always helps me

All songs have beats. You might have to listen real close and use sound judgement to tell, but the beat is always there.

Every song does have a "beat", but something tells me thats now what he meant. I think he means how Konami sometimes makes steps that don't seem to follow a very specific beat.

Examples: Lovin' You (HVY), some parts of Rain of Sorrow (HVY), Trip Machine (luv mix), Frozen Ray...etc.

yes yes, i wasnt refering beat as in tempo, i meant rythem wise, some of those rythems are just thrown in their to make it harder, I kinda know what im talking about i've been playing piano for the past 8 years riiight.gif
ANd yes technically EVERY song has a "beat" depends on your definition of beat and yes they all have a beat, some are just freaking retarded.

Don't start up a rant here ppl
