Because I've done the most minor of offenses.
I mean, come on, it's not like I'm CONSTANTLY doing it. That's warn-worthy. Your "three-strikes"-like rule here is blah. I'm more productive than destructive here anyways.
If you're going to warn me, do it for more serious actions (or minor ones that just build up). |

To make it fair however, warnings must apply to everyone no matter how minor they are. If you break a rule you should have to be punished somehow and how they do that is warning points. Anyways, I believe they do wear off after a while so just wait. _________________

So why am I on the brink of being banned for little things? It's absurd. DDRUK, for example, when I've made the rare flame awhile ago (even though ALL of my flames are unintentional unless needed to demoralize the moron who doesn't read the rules...), all they did was just remove the posts and just move on. DDRManiax does it, Bemanistyle...ehh, it's fun there, but that's not the point.
This is too strict. There's no basis on a user's past behavior. I know the mods use up their own time to run the place, but seriously...
EDIT: Now that I've thought a bit more into what got me my first warning, I think it's more applicable to remove just ONE. The second warning I got is the benign one.

I can predict the frst moderator's response to this thread:
"Take it up with the mods that warned you." _________________

Brink of being banned? You have three points. Please... Reenee wrote: | This is too strict. There's no basis on a user's past behavior. I've let slide a lot of offenses because it's not in everyone's best interests for me to be a rule nazi about things. _________________

Reenee wrote: | So why am I on the brink of being banned for little things? | Ummm, we don't have a three strikes rule here, we have a 9 point rule.
You have 3. You still have two SERIOUS offenses to make before you get banned. And that's not likely to happen any time soon.
(Note: If you aren't warned in a 30 day [31?] period then 1 point is removed.)

^ I thought it was three warnings and that's-a-ban?
EDIT: I recall one "serious" one and a light one, but I don't recall a second serious one.
Yeah, I know I should take it up with Spike, but I'd at least like to get something done with the minor offenses being refined.
\/ Phooey. You scared me.

You have two warnings, not three.
The FAQ has all the details . _________________

Foo, Bar, Imbecile, Defamatory (ESPECIALLY for the cookie taste thing), Flamebait, and Sneaky Flame are not helping. |

No, mods are above the law. I can flame whoever I want, whenever I want. Watch this: Spike is a homo. _________________

too bad many of the members would take advantage to a citizen warning system, where we can warn our superiors for improper conduct |

The mods rarely do anything worth warning anyway. When they do and people bitch about it, they've been known to warn themselves. Not that it matters, but the rules do apply to mods - there's just a concession in the FAQ that pretty much says they can do whatever the hell they want.

They have the final say, and the 'board ethics' allow you to call Spike a homo if your name is J Dogg. |

I'm totally a homo, so JDogg wasn't flaming me.
It's funny, because taking it up with the mod who warned you would be me. But you'd rather take it up with higher authority. Which would be me.
So...hi.
The funny thing is, you ADMIT to breaking the rules, and are mad that you got punished? What? Who cares if you're a positive contribution to the board? You don't get to break the rules.
You have 6 points left (you received 4 points total, but due to our warning point removal system you've lost one).
Anyways, you're reasoning is ridiculous.

Oh good, that's what I did. Cool.

You mean the flaming one? Looking at your two warns, I'd say the first one is not as bad as the second. You're not making a very good case for arguing our rules. Not only have you contradicted yourself (saying that you shouldn't have been warned, then saying you should have been), but you're clearly not aware of how things work. _________________
