There are only eight pressure-sensitive buttons on the Xbox controller - the six face buttons, and the two shoulder triggers. The Start/Back buttons are not analog, nor is the D-pad. Also, the depressing-action on the analog sticks is a digital response - on or off. |
Thank you so much. You wouldn't happen to have a diagram or instructions on how to solder to the controller would you? |

Does ANYONE know how to solder to the xbox controller Dpad? If anyone did, I would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me because then I could finally finish my pad. |

You might want to check in the hardware section of the Xbox-Scene forums. They're way more familiar with the hardware there. They might even have a tutorial already posted relating to accessing the buttons directly. It probably wouldn't be related to a dance pad, but you would still be able to use the knowledge. _________________

Yeah, I went to xbox-scene and I have been unable to find any guide to soldering to the xbox controller. If you have found one, please post a link because I just can't seem to find one. |

I have posted a thread in the xbox-scene forum and after 22 views, no one has responded. They must be really lazy or something because I don't think that a simple soldering explanation to solder to the dpad would be very hard for these guys. I mean they can completely modify their xbox system, yet they cannot give a not very tech profficient guy like myself a diagram or something. I have finished my pad except for this soldering job a week ago. I really need help either from you guys or the people over there. Come on now people, lend a helping hand. Cutriss was the only person that really helped me in this thread. I was pretty much ignored in the sticky. I guess people enjoy going gaga over some guys new pad over helping a fellow DDR player out. Show some compassion people. |

Give it some time. Make sure you wait at least 24 hours before bumping your thread, lest Heinrich or Xeero come along and whack your thread. _________________
