I haven't played any bemani games other than DDR, so I'm looking forward to getting this.

Thoughts?

Eh, it's an okay song list. It's kind of annoying how so many songs get reused in music games.

Wow...that's pretty interesting. Some of those songs I'd never would have pictures in a Taiko game.

having been a huge fan of the taiko series, seeing these songs on it makes me kinda saddened. Alot of the original songs were traditional, or just fit well enough in. I don't think Weezer is Taiko-riffic

Seeing how the Majority of Americans have no clue about Japanese culture or traditional music from Japan, I don't see a problem with the songlist.

Why are so many people HELL BENT on seeing JPOP in US games??? that makes no since to me....

hell bent? I'm disappointed, not really determined to get it in. I just figured that some traditional taiko music might of made it into a game based off the taiko drum.

The Theme from Jimmy Neutron? Dragon Ball Z's theme song? WTF?! Those are some horrible songs. There are a few good liscenses, but most of those are pretty bad.

Not bad, different from what I expected though, EB is taking pre-orders for the game and drum for $59.99 which I guess is a good price. I'm glad it's finally being released in the US since I always wanted the game but didn't want to spend $100+ to import it.

Where are u seeing all these preorders for EB? Online? Cuz i go to my local store and they seem cluless about alot of things, like Taiko and the extreme V-rare cd. Maybe my store is just stupid. blink.gif

Online, I never pre-order from their stores (or buy any games over $4.99 in their stores for that matter because of their stupid policy of selling open display copies of games as "new"). EBGames.com just started taking pre-orders for Taiko within the past couple of weeks so it's possible that in store, they don't know about it yet.

I don't even think most people outside of the music games forums even know that the game is being released in the US.

Hmm ok Well ill check it out online. Ill probably end up preordering both Taiko and Extreme biggrin.gif And its probable that no one knows about the taiko release only cuz im a huge fan of it and i didnt even know. Plus namco hasnt been real big on publicizing it. but the ad in japan is pretty funny and way out there. Its a combo ad with Taiko and eye toy groove. Kinda funny.
