I had the feeling that's how I shoulda spelled Shauna's name. Oh well.

Yah, my location is listed along with my membername on the left side area. I just wish there was an arcade closer to me than half an hour that had DDR, so I wouldn't waste 1/4 tank of gas for a round trip to the Laserdome. disturb.gif

For the last couple years, I'd been through the whole rollercoaster your current b/f was probably through, Sexual Taco. Get rejected a few times blink.gif , decide not to try for a while, get interested again and try some other way, only to get turned down several more times and become depressed again E2.gif , get off the depression E1.gif , try another alternate method, fail again E19.gif , say "screw it" frust.gif for a year or two until the pressure to have a g/f becomes enough to try again. blink.gif

Me? I'm in the "well, I'm not going out of my way to get a g/f, but I'm on the playing field in case anyone's interested" phase right now. I haven't been too eager to really socialize with girls in the past few months, because of the way things always seem to end up. Every time I see girls, I'm like, "I'll talk to them, but I'll be d*mned if I'm askin' one of 'em out; it'll just be another waste of time 'cuz it'll just end in another turn-down."

You never know though; I've had girls tell me I'm cute before (although I'm still trying to figure out exactly what that means).

Er...now that I've said the same thing about 5 different ways between 2 posts, and revealed what an emotional person I am, I think I'll just confuse everyone by sticking this smilie in goog.gif and ending the post before anyone can tell what happened.

BBQ is awesome. =D Met him recently at a tournament. Definitly the social atmosphere.

I also met my girlfriend through playing DDR, it's not uncommon. And no, we don't follow the stereotype of not showering, not having a job, and being manic depressants. E10.gif

Meeting people through the site is awesome too. It's so much fun hitting on Rychan over AIM. E10.gif (ps don't take that seriously)

Umm..never made a close friend playing DDR cause Ive only playd it in the states, and I live in Canda-and in my city we dont have one.

I did me a kid this past summer while in Las Vegas, he was nice, we were about the same difficulty. We talked about how we got into DDR, and what songs we like, etc. He told me his name on here, but I cant quite remember it (not good with names) I beleive it was something zombie, or zombie something.

The only problem with DDR's is that everyone thinks they are better than everyone else. Or, at least most of the time. My sister and I will get off and somone else steps on giving you a dirty look.

Oh yeah, also met a mother in Las Vegas who was from England, her daughtor liked to play DDR-we got chatting, it was fun.

I haven't met anyone because I don't play much at the arcade and I'm way older than most of the DDR'ers.

Meeting a girlfriend? Forget about it... I'm so concentrated on the arrows that I forget to breathe and start sweating up a storm.

Yeah, about 2 weeks ago me and rber both showed up at the local DDR.

It was freaky, he was like "Do you post on DDR Freak.com by any chance?"
Yeah that was kinda cool.

It's odd when you go to the mall with a DDR Freak shirt and people don't even know what Freak is. Last time a girl got really excited when she saw it:
Her - "OMG where did you get that shirt!!!!'"
Me - "DDRFreak.com, but they don't have them anymore."
Her - "That shirt is so cool!! I want one!"
Maybe next time I'll talk to her and get her to come see all my fun stuff E15.gif

Yeah, that was nifty. DDR Freak is nifty like that. I was so mad that I didn't ask for your screen name but you ended up finding mine through the forum laugh.gif .

This past weekend I actually met some cool girls who played. I could've sworn they were like 16-17. When I went back the next day I saw them again and it turns out they were like 14 blink.gif . So I guess I have made a few friends through DDR so far. I've also been able to show off to like 30 people at party playind doubles and on heavy E15.gif .

Sadly the people I meet when I play DDR are always like ten times better than me. And I will play a game, then they of course show me up and play 3 songs, get AA's, then pass PSMO or something. Wow talk about mixed emotions.... jealousy, anger, astonishment riiight.gif Oh well maybe I will meet someone that is the same level as me E1.gif

I've met a pretty good number of people from different areas through DDR Freak, but very few around where I live. The few forum members around here usually stay in the regional boards, anyway.

You were quite well loved here in Colorado, you should make the trip again sometime. Maybe after Jason and I move into our own place you could come stay with us laugh.gif someday.

I've met a few cool peeps at my local Boomers. Really good players too.. mop the floor with me if I was ever to challenge them laugh.gif

At my local Gameplex I've met people there who initally started out as fellow Counter-Strike players, but when I started stepping up on the DDR machine they became even more biggrin.gif

Now to get me a girl either thru CS, Beatmania, or DDR.... disturb.gif

Yeah, I met a few people while playing DDR. Iv'e seen them in different arcades and I always see familiar faces. Thats whats cool about DDR, we share the same interest and we can have a conversation. But I've also met some arrogant people which is the bad side of DDR and meeting people.

I'm not saying this as a generalization of those that play, just they types that I've met while playing.

Yes Ryan, I agree. I also suffer from Burning Heat intoxication (inside joke) For those of you who don't know, "Burning Heat" is the smelliest human being alive. In fact, he smells so bad, I think he really is dead.
