Alright so I was at an arcade in a casino in connecticut. I wandered in looking for a ddr machine. Sure enough they had a 7th mix, yet it was in the daycare center, only accesible by children of 12 and under. It was embarressing, but I was so desperate to play I asked if I could get in. Obviously they said no so I spent my time beating some jurrasic park shooter. But wtf? Why didnt they have it in the normal section of the arcade and not in the fecking daycare. The children in there, mostly about 6ish all have to like bend their heads up to see the screen, and most have no idea what they're doing. i was so tempted to just go in there and fc sakura or something. What where the people of the arcade thinking anyway?

thats the dumbest thing i've ever heard! I dont think that little 6 year olds could even grasp the concept of a ddr machine (well, maybe a few could). But yea, i agree, what the hell were they thinking puting it in there?? They probably are losing money by having it in there. Next time say, oh i gotta find my lil brother, and run in there yelling some random name, then say , oh he must be playing hide and seek, then say he will only come out if he hears the song sakura, then go and FC that song and show those kiddies how its done!!! laugh.gif

like omg this should be in new england!

anyway, that arcade has been a huge debate for some time now, on the NE board. Its just stupid, but they aren't losing a whole lotta money like DDRKID said. I mean, they are a casino. They're last concern is what the kids are playing

And if I had a 3rd mix Korean ver2 I would take the left nut deal. Think how much it would go for on Ebay! I could see it now.

When I was saying I should have fced sakura i was simply giving an example of a semi difficult feat. If you want me to be specific i will rephrase that: I should have just went in there and fced so deep(perfect sphere mix). everyone happy?

Am I the only one wondering what kind of parents would bring their 6 year old to a casino and dump them into a "videogame daycare center" so they can go play slot machines?

i think it's better to leave them in a daycare center that has video games, then to bring them around all the free alcohol and strange behavior of the casino. It's not just dropping kids off in the arcade, there are people there to watch them

Finding a kid who can play DDR is like trying to find a democrat in the south.

Those parents would have to be way more hardcore then Slots players. Definatly Hold 'em or Craps or Blackjack or something. Hell, I'd drop my kids in there just for a couple rounds of Blackjack (assuming I wasn't 18 and had kids).

I know exactly what you mean. Around here, we have two Grand Casinos, each with a DDR machine locked behind the daycare. One has a 4th Plus, and the other has a 5th Mix. Meanwhile, the rest of us have about five or six Extreme locations, all within ten minutes of each other. Morons... disgust.gif

And yeah, I've tried the desperation route to get to that 5th Mix. No dice.

Wow that IS stupid. I'd lay siege upon that daycare to get to that Max 2.

Kids aren't even allowed in a casino. My point was that maybe if the kids are with you, you might want to consider a destination more family-oriented than Mohegan Sun.

I dunno, doesn't sound much different than Chuck-E-Cheese places that have the machine, I've seen little kids play that before but usually it's with their parents, and they aren't really paying attention to the game they're just stoming on the arrows and watching them light up, and after they auto fail the song, usually the parent is like "awww honey it looks like that's all you get!!" heh whatever makes em happy I guess.

As for feeling a little injustice to the machine not being in the general arcade area, there's not a whole lot you can do right now, since the machine is privatley owned and they can do whatever they want with the machine and set whatever rules they want. BUT, at the same time, you also have the right not to give that business any of your money. Write a letter to the management suggesting the pros and **profit opportunites** of moving the machine to the general arcade area. You might be suprised at what you can do if you speak up a little bit E1.gif
