| I figured this is the best place to put this topic. I found that one of my posts was edited and it was NOT by me. It was in my starting post of my counter-strike thread in the games and consoles board. Any idea who might have done it? |

If a mod did it, it wouldn't say that it was edited by you. Maybe you accidentally clicked the edit button, then clicked submit.
Either way, change your password to make sure. To my knowledge, no one has "hacked" anyone's account. Just people getting passwords from elsewhere and finding out that someone users the same password for DDR Freak. And, in all honesty, if they COULD hacked someone's account...why would they hack yours? There wasn't much of a change in that post anyways. If I was a hacker...I'd hack an admin's account and do some serious damage.

That totally sucks. It has happened to me at another forum. Someone was able to get into my account and completely changed my profile. And had the nerve to put a graphic image in my avatar. It made me feel violated.

any way this has never happened to me either
and spike does strike up a good point about y would they hack into ur account. and yes like spike i would hack an admin and do damage and make every one a mod and do more damage j/k  |

that happened to me once. every time i posted, it got changed to something stupid. it also happened to other ppl who posted in the same thread.i just asked an administrator about it and he locked it. problem solved.

Oh, that was a fun afternoon.
As for the whole editing thing, I suggest keep your account the same, but if the problem persists, then I might suggest changing your password. It's probably just a PHP fart. |

the reason it got locked was because the posts got changed to postwhores.

Um.. I edited IN a notice to people that the link was not work or school friendly since there was quite a bit of profanity in it, as well as a bit of viol;ence in the end. I also put "-MSD" at the end to let you know who had edited that in.
I noticed you took out what I put there, and I'd kind of appreciate it if you put it back (or put some kind of warning) on there.
While that flash was hilarious, the last thing we want is someone getting in trouble at work because their boss walked by and heard "fucking faggot.. I'll fucking kill you!!" out of the computer.. or a bunch of angry parents sending threatening messages to the admins screaming about how their kids saw some 'vulgar movie' on a videogame website, etc. etc.
Sorry for the mix-up
