Hi, everyone. I have a question about possibly fixing my pads. I used to own a pair of Naki DPR2 pads, and I had to get rid of one of them after a year because the down arrow was becoming less responsive: it works most of the time, but on 8-9 footers with lots of down arrow patterns (like the middle section of Rhythm & Police), it registers the first 2 or three, and the rest are all boos.
I then replaced my pads with BNS DX pads, but after only about 5 months, both of the pads are having the exact same problem, implying that it has to do with how I play. Is there any way I can correct the problems with the pad? I don't want to have to spend another $100 to buy new pads just to have them stop working after 5 months. Any help would be appreciated! |

You really should have posted this in the soft pad sticky.
Honestly, it could just be that the Down arrow is wearing out. The DPR2s lasting a year was really good luck. I had a pair of Ignitions (official, btw) and the arrows (particularly Down) started to stick after only a few months. So I had it replaced, and then it happened again after a few more months. Do you know if the arrow is sticking, or just wearing out? That was the problem I had with Ignition-style pads.
Now I modify Konami pads and play on those. Without buying a metal pad or Cobalt Flux it's the best thing I can suggest.

Sorry about posting this in the wrong part.
The down arrow works fine for pretty much everything other than 7-9 foot songs, so I'm assuming that the arrows are sticking. |
