I was thinking of asking my principal if i could start a DDR club (or something like that) and wondering if anyone has tried it yet and how it worked out.
Also, any ideas of how to run it would be cool 2 since in still looking for ideas! |

there are numerous threads already asking the same question. In most situations, it works.

It's very possible to happen. Some schools have DDR in their P.E. cirriculum in one way or another. A club of it would be easier to have than a P.E. inclusion, don't you think? So chances are pretty good.
My friend has also tried this. I've had no word on what has happened yet. _________________

We don't have a DDR club in our school, but we do have a video game club which we sometimes play DDR in. |

People in my school have tried to start them, but they fail due to lack of members (odd because the anime club has 4 members). _________________

wow, i havent posted on this for billions of years...
well i dont exactly have a ddr club in my school, but we have a dance club and theirs a section for ddr. and then theirs other sections where people break, hip hop, and step. i OWN all the people in the ddr section and i used to teach hip hop, but some stuck up people in the step section said what i taught "wasn't real hip hop," when they can't even do the dances that my partner and i made. so i gave up on the hip hop section cause they people next door were annoying, and i just permently moved to the ddr section.
well some ideas would be to tell a teacher that knows about ddr or that likes you to start the club with you, and get a whole bunch of your friends to join too. and dont just make it a ddr club, maybe like a dance club or a video game club, where ddr is included so more people could join and you could introduce those people to ddr. _________________

We never exactly had a club, but my friend brought his Cobalt Flux pad to school along with his PS and DDR Konamix, we played on it after school in a room, when all the other clubs and stuff have meetings as well.
I don't know how people found out, but eventually there was a sizable number of people wanting to play on it. Instant success -- there must have been at least half a dozen people.
I suspect it was because my friend's brother told some guy -- and he told a bunch of other people.
This was a highly unorganized and impromptu thing, it was only for a day. I have reason to believe that an actual organized club would have even more success. |

Our anime club brings DDR in every once and a while, but not often. I'd love for there to be a DDR machine in our gym though. I've been yearning for a machine for a long time. I'd be down there playing all day! I'll probably bring it up with my school too. _________________

Some day, perhaps I can submit the FAQ about how to start a DDR organization will get posted. In the meantime, if you have any questions, let me know. It can work. _________________
