Is this your story, or somebody elses that you are looking at?

Either way, it is not Cobalt Flux's fault with the shipping. They send their shipping off into the hands of FedEx, and what happens after that they have no control over it.

FedEx has the responsibility to deliver and have you sign for it, not CF. It was out of their control what happened.

When I ordered my Cobalt Flux, they didn't have me sign either. It was left in my garage. It is unfortunate what happened, though frown.gif Sorry to hear that.

I know, but it's Fed Ex's fault.

You can send an email to Cobalt Flux and tell them your situation and see what they say about it, but Fed Ex is the one that screwed up. CF might refund you/send another, but I'm not really sure.

Yeah, it's the shipping problem from FedEx. Maybe you could contact them somehow. All I know is, trying to discuss CF with the matter won't get you anywhere.

It's kinda funny. This thread started almost the exact same way Minerva's other post on CF's forums went. She posts her story, someone says it's FedEx's fault, not CF's, and she protests saying she paid CF, not FedEx. Mixx, that much is true, but, and I'm going to sound like a broken record, the package becomes FedEx's responsibility once CF pays them to ship it to them, and that's why you need to talk to FedEx, not CF. The part about "Signature Service Not Requested" sounds very suspicious to me. That might be, as someone mentioned, solely the deliveryman's fault as I've had several packages delivered via FedEx and they all required SOMEONE to sign for them to ensure safe delivery. Other than that, all that can be said on the topic has pretty much been said.

I ordered the doubles pack, and they shipped each pad seperately. When the first one got here it got here early in the morning when I was still in bed, when I heard the doorbell ring I jumped out of bed and got to the door as soon as I could. The delivery guy had left the pad in the garage and was halfway back to his truck when he saw me and just asked if I was expecting the package. He didn't have me sign anything. The second pad was delivered the next day while I was at work. It was placed in my garage and nobody was home to sign for it. Fortunately for me, I live in a city with a rather low crime rate and an even lower amount of DDR playing residents...

While I agree that Cobalt Flux is probably not at fault, FedEx definetly sounds like should be. You should be after them if anyone. Yes, I realize you paid Cobalt Flux, but what you don't seem to realize is that included in the payment for the pad to Cobalt Flux is a pretty hefty fee for shipping and handling (mine for the doubles pack was nearly an extra $100). Then Cobalt Flux pays that shipping and handling money to FedEx to have the packages delivered. You effectively hired FedEx to ship their (CF's) goods to you through Cobalt Flux. So the fact that you paid all your money to Cobalt Flux doesn't make error in the actual delivery of the package their fault.

Oh wow, really? That's way below what I'd expect of FedEx. I had a CD player delivered via FedEx to my college mailbox, and even though campus mail already had it safely in their possession, I still had to sign for it when I picked it up myself. And that was with a FedEx shipping option that was only $1. I had also sent my Playstation 2 to Sony for repairs, and they sent it back FedEx free. It arrived while I was at work, and they had my sister sign for it. I'd expect more from something that cost about $50, or in your case, $100 to ship. It's not right for such expensive delivery to require no form of confirmation whatsoever.

what the hell is up with that? I mean come on, if you are paying for the pad I think that fed ex or whoever is delivering the pad to you should deliever it to your house at a time where someone should be home...that's rediculous, and leavingit on the front door without someone signing for it... frown.gif disgust.gif disturb.gif frust.gif

You absolutely have to contact FedEx, and you can't afford to wait very long about it. FedEx is not supposed to leave a package worth more than $5 USD without having a signiture for it, so unless they have said signiture recorded by someone else (in which case you have an entirely different problem), then FedEx has been negligent and I'm sure some kind of legal action can be taken, especially with as much as a CF costs.

Ok am i the only one who received the package via UPS and not fed-ex.....unless im being an idiot and it was fed-ex....well regardless. Mixx how long have u been waiting? They told me two weeks but it took 3 1/2. Sure i had to wait but it was well worth it. First email CF and check on the status of ur pad. They may have been busy making tons of these pads and got held back sending urs. U never know. Thats what i had to do when i ordered mine. They just kindly told me that it was on its way, and sure enough it came (just a week later than they said). If it has been sent, be patient, its WELL worth the wait.

CF started out using UPS, but they switched to FedEx. That was the biggest mistake they have ever made, but I digress.

Since you are responding to someone's post, it would be useful to read what you are responding to first. On the CF forums she clearly posted that CF's website shows it having been shipped, and FedEx's website shows it having been delivered. The problem here (which is a FedEx problem, not a CF problem) is that FedEx didn't have anybody sign for the package, which is against their rules.

"Packages with a declared value over $100 US$ are ineligible for signature release. In these cases, FedEx must receive a valid signature. This is also true for several service options, like COD (Collect On Delivery), Dangerous Goods, etc."

I was wrong about the $5 USD, I was being stupid, but nonetheless this statement comes from the FAQ on the FedEx Ground service, which is what CF uses (or at least used for mine). That FAQ can be found here:

http://www.fedex.com/us/customersupport/express/faq/tracking.html

Based on that, if you claim to not have signed for your package, then FedEx is in clear violation of their own regulations, and since this has caused you a problem, you are entitled to something. Again, I recommend taking this to FedEx, and leaving CF out of it, since there is absolutely nothing CF can do.

Ahh ok that clarified alot. See i wasnt sure if hed just been waiting for it but cf had sent it, or if it was the same situation as the other woman in that other post. Mixx did not clarify what his problem was. So being a dumbass i assumed he meant something different haha. Ok well then ya its fed-ex's fault. Why they wouldnt leave a note and come back is beyond me.

You're going on the wrong way. Instead of bitching about how shitty CF is for not delivering your package, you should be contacting FX. Try that for starters.

MixX, you should tell your mother to take a look at the comments here. There seems to be some confusion about the roles of CF versus FedEx from her point of view. She isn't going to get anywhere by complaining to CF, and although her point that she paid CF is valid, the pad is completely out of CF's control once it has been shipped. Ask her to take a look at the suggestions posted in this thread, and then get back to us.

Most of the same advice has been posted on the Flux forums. Minerva continues to wait for a response from Flux instead of pressing the issue further with Fed Ex.

I also suggested she contact the police, since she was obviously the victim of theft.

However, she is now at one month from the date of delivery, so her options are dwindling.
