I've been needing a new pad for a long time now. I have two right now, one is a mad cats beat pad, and the other is a 3rd party "non-slip" pad (which now has an annoying tear in it). I've heard from alot of people that the Red Octane Ignition 2.0 pad is the best soft pad out there, but how good is it really? Is it really a "non-slip" pad? Does it last a really long time? I don't want to spend a whole lot on a metal pad...so please give me your thoughts on the Ignition 2.0. I really need a pad that won't slip much (on carpet, too).

Thanks! E4.gif

You sound like you're serious about DDR, so a Cobult Flux would probably be best. My Ignition 2.0 screwed up after about a month and both of my friend's 2.0s are experiencing some problems. If I ever get a job, I'll probably buy a Cobalt Flux!

CF is the best pad for your money. Although some ppl complain about how bad they are, they are just haters that can't afford them tongue.gif

I own a CF... a friend of mine owns 2... another friend owns 1... and yet one more friend has 1. It's obviously a great pad. I know of only 2 ignition pads out of our entire group that ppl have (and i'm one of them for some reason tongue.gif). I can say I barely use mine. if my CF is in my car and I'm lazy, then I'll drag out the RO pad.

Pads are going to be your best investment. The only thing that you will not like is the transition from the CF to the arcade. The CF pad spoils you in that it's more responsive... just be warned about that little note biggrin.gif

I personally gone with the Redoctane metal pad, which costed me 200 clams.

But if you got the money buy a cobalt flux, which is a little more.

I'll go with the DDR Console forums. It's the winner.
