No, that's a pretty standard term.

But now that you mention it, around here we use the word "pie" to refer to the radar chart in general. For example, "Damn, look how big the pie is for this song"

Hmm, alternative definitions:

Skips: A series of steps which can be divided into pairs of steps using the same foot with a gap, while the pairs themselves have only a small gap between them, ie. left (pause) left right (pause) right left etc.

Cowgirl Skips: Skips where the first step of each pair lands on the beat, as in Cowgirl.

Rhythm & Police Skips: Skips where the second step of each pair lands on the beat, as in Rhythm & Police.

So in the other definition, Skips == Cowgirl Skips, and Gallops == Rhythm & Police Skips. Why this distinction? Because I use a different meaning of gallops:

Gallops: Steps with the same rhythm as skips (usually Cowgirl skips) that alternate feet - eg. Matsuri Japan, 321 Stars.

Show Up: An alternate (and possibly more popular) term for Mo'foing donkey. After a less experienced player barely completes (or fails) a song, the act of playing and passing that same song on a higher difficulty in order to show off.

Final Jump: An alternate term for the "DTB (Drop The Bomb) Jump," where there is one last, isolated jump on the final beat of the song, which players typically try to hit hard or otherwise get as much air as possible on.

Final Freeze: The last, isolated freeze at the end of a song, usually a left+right jump (although it does differ in some cases). Songs with a final freeze are usually very difficult (see Max 300 or So Deep). As in a Final Jump, players usually hit this hard and get tons of air.

Ghost Step: Stepping anytime between the on-screen arrow cues that helps the player to keep the beat. Usually performed in songs that have tempo stops or other lengthy breaks between times the player actually needs to hit an arrow.

Tempo Stop: A point at which a song (and the arrows) comes to a complete stop for a fixed amount of time before it starts up again. Most infamously seen in the "Max" series songs, though it does occur in other songs like Ecstasy.

Stomping: Stepping on the arrows harder than is necessary, most often for one of three different reasons. First, because the player is new and doesn't know they don't have to stomp, second, for Perfect Attack purposes, or third, because the player is angry over misstepping.

Hip Thrust (aka the "Sexy Planet Hip Thrust"): The aforementioned hip thrust performed during the "UL, U, UL, U" step pattern during "Sexy Planet."

Crowd Player: (Self-coined term.) An expert player who refuses to play difficult 9 or 10-foot songs unless a crowd has formed, and usually plays moderate-to-somewhat-difficult songs if they have no captive audience at the time.

Crowd Pleaser: (Self-coined term.) An expert player who puts forth some kind of extra effort (spins, freestyle, singing along) if a crowd is present.

Human Announcer: (Self-coined term.) A player who tries to attract a crowd by shouting out phrases the in-game announcer uses, typically "Let's DDR!" at the Warning screen.

Jam Jam Reggae Sway: (Self-coined term.) Any step pattern where the player can choose to sway left to right. Named after the most obvious example in Jam Jam Reggae where a "DL, L, R, DR, L" repeats a few times.

Sakura Sway: Similar to the Jam Jam Reggae Sway, where the pattern "L, D, R, D, L, D, R" usually calls for a crossover but the player chooses to sway instead. Not named after the song Sakura, but named after the character Sakura from Street Fighter who sometimes performs a very similar dance move after she wins a match.

frozen crossover when there is a freeze jump (LR, UD) which the player hits and switches feet on in the middle of the freeze

DDRGASM: The result of any song which causes a player to constantly move at insane speeds, and insane step pattern, or an expression to show great excitement for something relating to DDR.

e.g.: DDR Ultramix 2 has a Quad Mode.. 4 pads.. 16 arrows... omg that's one big DDRGasm; If DDRUM2 has anything by 2MB I'm gonna have a DDRGasm; I saw somebody play PSMO, wow what a DDRGasm.
