I have two what I'm sure are insanely stupid questions to ask, but I just can't figure it out. I have gone through all the option menus looking to solve this, but I must of missed it. What I need to ask is, how do I turn off event mode? And secondly, how do I make it sort through all my songs alphabetically without grouping it? Thanks. |

well for the first one its in the coin options part (at the bottom I believe) of the options menu. Now for the second the only way I can see that you could do that would be to just put all your song folders into one master folder. I'm not even sure if that will work and it seems that it would cause more problems (ex:oni courses). _________________

Actually you can do this the same way you do at the arcade...once you are at the song select screen, press left and right at the same time and the sort will change. You can sort alphabetically by title, alphabetically by artist, by bpm, player's best, player's worst, and foot rating. _________________

Well I neglected that since it's still grouped the groups are just the letters but yea thats about the best option. _________________

Lol, that really sounds like a bigger issue than SM. Have you checked your video card compatibility? Your video driver? Does this happen in any other situations? What are the specs on your computer? _________________

JudgeWindowAttackSeconds=0.120000 (assumed to be same as "good")
JudgeWindowBooSeconds=0.150000
JudgeWindowGoodSeconds=0.120000
JudgeWindowGreatSeconds=0.090000 (same as SM's defaults)
JudgeWindowMarvelousSeconds=0.015000
JudgeWindowMineSeconds=0.120000 (assumed to have "good"'s window)
JudgeWindowOKSeconds=0.250000 (just an assumption)
JudgeWindowPerfectSeconds=0.030000 (this would be around judge difficulty 5 2/3)
This thread for more discussion.
I'm in the process of writing a Stepmania FAQ and this question DEFINITELY qualifies. _________________

You can go to www.ddruk.com for official simfiles, as well as a few bumper packs of unofficial files. www.bemanistyle.com is one of the best distributors of unofficial simfiles. And of course, we have our own thread where you can request files that you don't find elsewhere.
The latest version of stepmania is 3.9 Alpha 22. _________________

ROFLMAO...
I don't work for Stepmania or anything, I'm writing a FAQ for this forum (there are a lot of questions not currently answered in the Simulator FAQ). Since I answer the same questions repeatedly, I thought I would try to compile them into a FAQ (as if anyone actually reads FAQs on this site).
I'm flattered though .
On that topic, if you have questions that you would like to see covered in the FAQ, please PM me. Note: this is a Stepmania FAQ, not a simulator FAQ, and not an adapter FAQ (adapter questions should be directed to the god of all things adapter, Syncognition). _________________

Justice = hardest, so if you can't AA anything, don't feel bad, I think even reach can't do that well on justice (Mr. FOTBB AA himself) _________________

First off I'm not quite sure what your asking but I'll give it a shot anyway. Unzip the files into the themes folder. They should all be contained in a subfolder of the themes folder. Then load SM and go to the options menu. I believe that its under appearance options but I'm not sure. If it isn't just look around and find it.
yea I do suck at explaining things. Hope I haven't completely confused you. _________________
