how many sites actually use the same forum style as DDRFREAK?
i was looking at the crap on something awful and noticed theyre all practically the same. animated lust is exactly the same except they use something else besides "basic member" and the colored foot.

so how many actually use something similar?

this is more of a site feedback question, but at any rate...

it's PHPBB2.2 I believe. which is fairly common. I wish I could afford to have my forums like this though, it's quite nice and customizable. and there's a lot that I can't do as an admin on my boards that I'm sure can be done by admins on the DDRfreak forums.

i only know a few.
bemanistyle- a personal fav. this site actually gives you media, yo earn tokens for each post, about 10, but post whoring is very illegal.and mp3's are 25 tokens, and videoes are 50. it's mostly beatmania, but there is a fair ammount od ddr. the topics are clearly divides, and the mods love to lock.
there is ddrfreak-you know bout this one already. the best place on the net for ddr news, and people who think the word girlyman is actually offensive.

there is the state sites, i go to ohioddr.com because i live in ohio. i'm sure there is one for your state. i hate the ohioddr forums. the users suck. i get enough of them at the arcades... another day, another day.

there is ddruk- they have a sm file of virtually every ddr song ever, including the songpacks, 1-5 atleast. and remember, a songpack consists of:an mp3 that screams to be put on a cd, the bg of the song, the tile of the song, and a dwi file that contains the steps. so if you wanna hear a song, downlaod the sm file.

there is gaiaonline- you earn gold for your lame charecter so you can buy him clothes, and talk about inuyasha and ff all day. if you talk about ddr on gaia, this is what you get in reply. " OMG!!!! B4U IS SO HARD ON LIGHT!!! i love breakup! (reffering to bre\-/kdown!) ddr sucks. it's all recycled. not like rpgs. cause you know, their all about some magical item that you have to quest for. insert time era here, be it fudel japan/china or midevil/midevillike times, you always have gi girlylooking man with a sword hunting for some ultimate power so he can use it for good. and the mods aren't fun like the ddr freak mods. the ddr freak mods actually get involved in the discussions, and add to the conversation. (see float walk)

Almost every web portal or forum you visit will be either phpBB or InvisionBoard. They're pretty much the same, but IB has some minor advantages.

The board format, PHPBB is very simple to set up, so it's fairly common.
