it really depends on the pad. the foam ones rock I play that with shoes. the stupid flimsy ones ..... hhhmmm I dont play on those!

i wear shoes called T.U.K's they have a japaneese symbol on both sides of each side there cool i love em lol the y to big for me though lol it dosetn realy matter to me much though, soft pads i dont use shoes cuase itll rip the damn things ive never used a foam pad yet and at the arcade thats obvious lol

I just wear sandals. They work, and since there's no machine i **plan** to go to and play, if i happen to have time on the way to work i just wear the sandals. I think you guys put a lot too much importance on it, i can AA plenty of 7s and stuff even in sandals.... still get huge combos and stuff on harder ones, I only think it matters if youre in a tourney or going for a AAA. You do better in shoes, but it doesn't make the player. Just me tho.

well if i ever get to an arcade its the onlt shoes i own which are vans, and i think there pretty comfortable unlike a few posters here.

and i only play at home since i cant get to an arcade (yet, hopefuly i go arcade soon) i play in socks since barefeet stick to the plastic thing on my modded pad which makes playing uncomfrotable.

When on my ignition pads, I play in socks. It's just easier and doesn't kill them. When I am in the arcades---a rare occasion---I just play in my Reeboks. Which, come to think of it, are falling apart. Must glue parts of the sole back on....
