MAN... THIS IS A LOT HARDER THAT I THOUGHT. AND I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE PRETTY HARD. UM... I DELETED SOME LIKE "Hater" BECAUSE IT IS NOT REALLY A DDR TERM SEEING AS A LOT OF PEOPLE USE IT.
FURTHER MORE I BELEIVE THAT IT WOULDNT BE RIGHT IF WE BEGAN CREATING TERMS. I THINK IT'S BETTER THAT WE SUGGEST TERMS THAT ARE USED MORE THAN 3 PEOPLE. THIS IS JUST MY SUGGESTION. IF YOU DISAPROVE, PLEASE SPEAK FORTH. _________________

2 for 1: When someone uses both feet for one arrow.
Example: CSFILSM. The only guy in my town to AAA CSFILSM does this for constant arrows in one dirrection. Everyone started to do it so thats what i call it now.
Matt Hump: On Sexy Planet oni, the part where its UL,U,UL,U,UL. When that part comes up, if you rock your pelvis in on the jump, out on the step, it looks like your humping. Thought up by my friend Matt. _________________

I agree... everything I spat out definitely fits that requirement, and although a handful of my list was created by yours truly, they somehow or other caught on to the people around me. So yeah. _________________

Ha ha ha!! Funny. It is fun. One time, about 15 people decited to play that song and have an "orgy" on the dance pads. That was fun
here are 2 more to add.
Maxing Out: When a player attempts to pass Max 300, Maxx Unlimited, and The Legend of MAX in one game all on Heavy.
Line losers: People who, while there is a long line to play ddr, put double the amount to play ddr so they can play twice without haveing to wait again. I hate it when there is a line of like 15 people and some little kid in line puts in a dollar, plays singles and then when he is finished, plays again. And after all of that, he gots the guts to move his marker back to where he is in the original order. _________________

Those are called power sets. Where do guys come up with some of this stuff??

Well I think that Maxing out sounds better than power sets. If you think about it, power sets can be used for songs that have more than one mix of a song. Like La Senorita has three mixes and lots of other songs have at least one. Maxing out can be used when you are planing to do the three Maxes. It sounds like a athletic term. Maxing out, used to say you are giving every thing you got. Apply it to the three Max songs and it goes the same way. _________________

I like that Maxxing Out thing...
Generally, around my arcade, a set of all 10s (real 10s, not Sakura) is called a Death Set
Also,
Hardcore Player-one who shows up at the arcade in workout clothes carrying a towel, water bottle, and other workout type accessories, and possibly a large container of tokens. Typically plays on Maniac/Heavy or Oni mode. (I am one, and I know a lot of people out there do this because, after all, DDR is a workout, but I don't see that many of them in my area, so this term has kind of stuck...)
Also, Neemo, you might consider simply editing your original post to update and add the changes, rather than redoing the thing every time. That'd make it easier to find the most current version within the thread, and would cut down on the number of pages to wade through. Just a thought, though. _________________

May want to add Jukebox Mode. Jukebox mode is when you play a song Dark + Stealth so it just shows the background movie. _________________

Pittsburgh Line - Alternative to the quarter line. People form a physical line that wraps around behind the pads so everyone can still watch. Usually leads to major confusion. Easy to cut into.
Example:
(M is the Machine}
(P is the Pads)
(1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. is the line order)
(. is just a space filler)
. MMM
. . . . . . 1
. PPP . .2
7 6 5 4 3
8 9 10 11
(Yes, we actually do that, and no, we don't TRY to, it just turns out that way... every time)
X Whore - One who plays the same song over and over. Usually used for practice but sometimes for showing off. Replace X with the name of the song (Example: Butterfly Whore)
And I think the person who posted "Pie" was just trying to be an buttocks and act like he has mad DDR skillz. |
