Is there anyplace where I can find LEGAL DDR music?!
If so preferably someplace where I can buy it from a store not off the internet? |

Well that's a bad job of marketing by DDR! That's kinda stupid!
I would buy a lot of their CD's and i would still play the game.
Is there someplace where you can buy the songs from the artists?
I really like some of the songs and wanted to be able to set my CD player on repeat one and obsess away! |

ddr didnt make the songs so it costs them money to get the songs, so to make a cd would cost a ton more therefore better marketing not to _________________

froogle is your friend
which is why you can buy soundtracks eh? Konami owns the rights to those songs, so it doesn't cost them any more to package them and sell them in soundtrack form than it does to put it in their game and distribute it as long as the agreement was made for fair use.
please people, do your research before you post...how else do you think people legally get MP3s for stepmania if they aren't taken off of a soundtrack? it would be awfully hard to rip sound files from an arcade disc or record it clearly in an arcade... |

If your near Orlando, or the Winterpark/Casselberry area, down SR50 is an import shop that has all the 2disk soundtracks in their store, and can import it from japan if they don't have it in. If your curious, IM me. |

Why the hell did a whole bunch of people suddenly say no as if they knew what they were talking about? There is a soundtrack for each mix I believe, try googling it. Also, if you are looking to just listen to it while you are at your computer, I recommend the DDRFreak radio (link at the top of the page).
EDIT: I searched google for "Dance Dance Revolution soundtrack," and this came up first. Search engines are cool. _________________

Konami has CDS, each with a special nonstop megamix, where all the tracks blend togethor.
DDR 2nd mix/Nonstop megamix-includes 1st mix songs
DDR 3rd mix/Nonstop Megamix
DDR SOLO 2k/nonstop megamix-includes solo bass songs
DDR 4th mix/nonstop megamix
DDR 5th mix/nonstop megamix-includes 4th+ songs
DDr max/NM
DDRMAX2/NM
DDREXTREME/NM
And what do you mean Konami doesn't make their music? They make around half of their music genius! Not all of the songs are liscences! Learn your facts before you post! |

Yeah, but are all the songs in English? Because I don't understand Japanese, and I would prefer that all the songs on the soundtracks be in English. _________________

If you don't mind "Long Versions", http://www.itunes.com -- itunes is a good place to buy and then burn single songs, of which there's a handful of licensed songs available on. (Kylie, 4 Strings, etc.)
You never know what other good music you might find too _________________

Since all the songs in DDR aren't in english, why would they all be english on the DDR CDs? |

Eh, they're the same as they are in the arcade almost. I mean if they're in Jap in the arcade, it's the same on the song. But they added a few... special effects Oo.
Anyway, .mids are free to use if you want to dl something. |

you know, I'm pretty sure all of the machines here in america are japanese or bootlegged except for DDR USA. I'm positive that the machine at my local arcade is japanese because it has working memory card slots...yet all the songs in english are amazingly still in english...just because it is a japanese game doesn't mean that the songs can't be in english. the songlists are in english...many japanese games are in english from the start, so I would just about guarantee that the soundtracks to the DDR games are in english as well. also, take a look at the a-team dynamite rave freestyle (any of them) and you'll notice that the music playing during it is magically in english.
the only songs on the soundtrack that won't be in english are songs that aren't in english in the arcade.
P.S.
