Okay, let's take this one step at a time.
Being selective about the skills of the members of your team is all well and fine. I'll leave you to do that in peace. However, you cannot simply blow off the second best player in the world and dismiss him as being a "waste of your time." If you know about Yasu, you know about Take. That's a given. If you don't know about Take, go pore over through Aaron in Japan a bit more.
Hell, if you don't know about Take, you're probably not even qualified to call anyone, least of all him, a "waste of your time." And for someone whose time is obviously so important that he can't do some research about the DDR players in the area he lives in, you have horribly low expectations from "the best."
You think being able to AA everything constitutes "the best"? I would be GOD if it did. Rob Stevens (EDIT: or someone of comparable skill) would be creator of the universe. Yasunori Ueki would be the Big Bang, and Takeo Ueki would be the set of all conditions which triggered the Big Bang, since he's AAAed almost every song on DDR EXTREME. I don't even want to get into what JSB would be, since he has AAAed every song on DDR EXTREME. (And before anyone asks, yes, I AM aware of the Colombian superstars ONIO and ONIR, I just couldn't think of a larger hierarchy in which to place them.)
There are very clearly defined lines in the DDR-playing population. There are the average players, there are the good players, who can get A's on the 10-footers and AA/AAA just about everything else, and there are the elite players, who can AA or AAA everything. There are disproportionately few 'elite' players in existence, although there may be more or less in your region, depending on where you live. Because there are so few of them, most of them are at constant odds with each other. There's almost no chance that you're going to be successful at uniting all of them in any given region into one mega-conglomeration of a team, and the chance that does exist becomes exponentially smaller once we take your glittering social/charismatic skills into account.
Oh, and for the record...if you really do live in Massachusetts...
All the good players in the New England area are either already taken, or are decent enough not to affiliate themselves with someone like you. Fix your attitude and you're set to go. Otherwise, you may as well give up your prospects of forming a team, because a chain is only as strong as its weakest link.
And if you don't fix your attitude, you WILL be the weakest link. Goodbye, and have a nice day. | I heard JSB couldn't AAA LTBHE... _________________

I've had creating a team in mind for a really long time but I haven't considered myself good enough to try and form a team yet. I'm a heavy player and I haven't A'ed a single song arcade or console and until I beat witch doctor, there is no way I'm asking around just yet. Not to sound Newbish or anything but who are those people that ZZZ named? They are obviously great ddr players so if anyone can direct me to a site where I can read up on the competition, I would be most grateful. _________________

1. Why do you want to start a team?
2. What would entice people to want to join your team?
3. What would you make the requirements (if any) to join? _________________

Rob Stevens is the only person in New England who stands a very good chance of beating me. Yes, I know Bemaniac, Pickles, etc. are all very good players. In fact, I was considering adding them when I edited my post, but I didn't really know how to add them in without having people add their own suggestions into that mix. I didn't want to play 'favorites', if you will. However, I guess this backfired on me, since, by leaving Rob Stevens (someone who's not as well known as the players mentioned above) in my post, I probably only caused confusion. Sorry about that.
In any case, yes, I'm aware of those players, I simply couldn't think of some way to integrate them all into my post. _________________

Sorry, but I've heard the "My sibling got ahold of my account" excuse WAY too many times when somebody got told... and yeas, AAA's are much better than AA's... |
