That would probably make me mad too, this kid sounds like a tool and doesn't know much about DDR. _________________

If I was the kid in your third period class, I would have savagely beaten you with a metal rod. Why the hell would you get in an argument over something so stupid or even mention that you play on heavy when its more than obvious that he barely had a grasp on what the game encompassed. The fact that you had to add in that you "won" the argument obviously makes you the better person though, right? _________________

I was asked once if playing ddr helps me dance or if I used any of the same moves I use on the machine on the dance floor. #1) I'm already a good dancer so I wouldn't need a damn machine. #2) If I did the same thing I did on the dance floor as I do on the machine, I would look like a supreme retard. _________________

So....your upset that he didn't understand what you were talking about?
Well.......................people usually think that a game called Dance Dance Revolution would have something to do with dancing, but no.
He just didn't understand, and no, I wouldn't get upset about something as small as that.

I walked in my third period class. I sat down. The teacher told us to tell our partners something they don't know about us. I said I liked to play DDR. ( the teacher knew what it was) This kid sitting next to me was all, " Hey, I played that." Then he was all," It helps you dance. I go fast man." At this point I stared at him...... I said, " I am ok at it. standard and some heavies." He looked Funkified. He had no idea what I was talking about. Then we got into an argument about if ddr was meant to help you dance. Of course he started it. I won. He swore it helped you dance....... ........... He still does. |
Personally I wouldnt have wasted my precious time and breath with this argument. I would have gave him one of those looks that would have translated to, "You dumbass!" than kept going on with my assignment. |

good argument won...although, if the kid didn't know what standard and heavy meant, then you kinda (obviously) had the upper advantage on this kid... _________________

I've actually found that DDR and break dancing use a lot of the same type of balance. When I starting playing a lot of DDR, my general ability to keep my balance and do faster/more complicated footwork while breaking went up a lot. Which isn't to say that DDR will teach you to break (it won't), but some of the coordination and speed that it requires can help in actual dancing. |

I hope you're a girl... because that was extremely lame. Does this annoy you? When people post pointless topics to doggy to people on the internet about their lives? Some things should just be kept to yourself. Chalk this up as one of them. |

Enlighten me: What would being a girl have to do with anything? _________________

Because only girls have the time to waste bandwidth by posting about what happened in their third period class. If it was a guy... even worse. It doesn't matter what gender that person was... it was lame. |

If gender doesn't matter then don't make comments like that, it's kinda sexist. If you think its lame then simply ignore the thread....no-one is forcing you to reply. Obviously the person who posted the topic didn't think it was a waste of their bandwidth......and yet you wasted your bandwidth/time to reply to something you thought was lame and a waste of bandwidth
Personally the underlying subject annoys me. People who brag about knowing something they know nothing about....people who argue about worthless things for the sake of arguing. But when you're in highschool there are often a large majority of immature people who like to bring attention to themselves or show off their 'knowledge'. Best to either ignore them or calmly state your point of view and reasonings and then ignore them if they persist still. _________________
