1. you start to see arrows scroll up your eyelids when you close your eyes

2. you see arrows even if your eyes are open

3. you start tapping you feet in a rythm to "X" song you have played recently

4. you play til you cant walk

5. you waste your entire paycheck on it (believe me ive done it)

6. you have songs stuck your head

7. you spontaneously break into song (i.e a j-pop song like BREAKDOWN!)

8.you can memorize any of the max's and play then on whatever speed mod and stealth it...and get a AA or higher

i just thought of this from things ive seen and done before (not #8 though) tell me what you think ok?

You are correct. I am obsessed with DDR and I do play it way to much. I do waste my money, even at the nickel arcade. I hate to say it but I see arrows. I guess thats what happens when a blonde stares at the screen.

5. You practice stepcharts by listening to those songs, and tapping your fingers in the direction of the arrows.

I don't necessarily think that #1 is a big sign of DDR obsession. Most people stop seeing arrows when they play after a week or so (I know I did). It's actually really common when you do any sort of patterned activity to see it when you close your eyes while your brain is getting used to sorting out where it fits in the world. Once you don't have to consciously consider something as much, the pattern stops (ie, when your brain gets used to how arrows look and scroll, you stop seeing them). I've had experiences with that from doing many, many different activities (mostly games, but not always).

Actually, it's probably more a sign of DDR obsession when you can play for 6 hours straight and then *not* see arrows. That means your brain is so used to the constant stream of arrows that they don't even register consciously anymore ;-)

4. U sing ur favorite DDR songs or hum the beat!
5. U listen 2 DDR in ur car on ur way 2 where ever, like me ( I was listening 2 COWGIRL, yes COWGIRL, just 4 the fun of it going 2 the arcade 2 play sum DDR, yeah that was hilarious! Got sum weird looks as well LOL and sum1 ask me if i like country 4 sum reason!)
