Worst Opponants

Ok, to clear up confusion right off the bat, this isn't about how bad of a player they are, it's about how bad they can be...

Heres what I mean...

Down at Dover Mall where I always play, theres one guy who really, really smells. I hate playing against him, because I can only take the smell for two songs and have to give the third away before I vomit. I don't try to be ignorant, but I just can't hack his BO...

Theres another guy who does nothing but stomp the whole time, he plays on standard, and always plays in boots. He doesnt have good rhythm, so when he plays, he's slightly off beat, and he stomps so hard you hear his shoes over the song, evne when you try not to.

Another guy will only play certain songs. If you have a song you want to try, he won't play it unless it's Drop Out/Parania(any of them), Exotic Ethnic, or something thats in his taste of music. About three weeks ago, I was playing, he walked up, put his tokens in, and started playing with me(before we started). I tried to pick Holic, he said no. I ended up letting him pick the three, because he wouldn't play anything I had wanted to. This is the same guy who throws things at people while they play. It's an arcade, so they have prizes and stuff. The arcade is pretty cool, so they let the people who are always there behind the counter. This guy takes out some of the bounce balls, and throws them at the DDR players.

Theres a few guys who sit there and play Soul Calibur 2(which is directly next to DDR), and always talk to the DDR people, we're pretty cool as two different styles of gamers. Some of the DDRers play SC2 as well, those guys always brag about how they can play this song on heavy and that song on Oni. Everytime they go up there, they play songs on lights and get goods and greats, and hardly any perfects.

Just wondering how many people have bad opponants around where they live too... Once again, by bad/worst, I don't mean quality, I mean how they are.

If theres people like that where I am I just leave. I wont let some jackass ruin my day. either I will go to a different arcade or I will go do something else. There are a few around here. This one kid with no rythm tries to play on heavy and he just stomps the arrows so hard. I cant even play with him he screws me up so much.

I dont hate it,but it makes me feel like a newb.There's these guys who can get an AA on Afranova Primevil on maniac,They play me on some songs on maniac and beat me in perfects all the time.Its fun,but sorta makes me feel new

There's this one kid who comes to my arcade sometimes, and I swear, the only song he'll play willingly is Matsuri Japan. That's it. When he plays by himself, it's Matsuri Japan x3. When he plays with other people, if they don't jump in and pick the song before he does, it's Matsuri Japan. It's very frustrating, because I like Matsuri Japan, but he plays it enough that after a while I'm just like, "AAARGH PLAY SOMETHING ELSE KJWGIWKGUW!"

some guy pushed me off the pad once and i still beat him. then there was another time where there was this one guy sweating so much he lied down on the pad for a bit to rest and when i played on the pad he used i slipped on his sweat

There's this kid who's in the midst of puberty so after he plays 1 game of ddr, he stinks like a water buffalo wallowing in his own muck. He usually plays 3 games a day so it gets really bad. Plus, I worked at the arcade and he would stick around for the whole day so I would have to choke on his sweat stink for the whole time I worked. Plus, the bastard can beat 10 foot songs with his eyes clothes so it's embarrasing playing him unless you know his weak songs. And he's 3 years younger than me so it makes me feel really weak when he beats me.

I cant stand it when somebody refuses any song you consider, picking all 3 and only stuff he/she is familiar with. Only happened once to me though, usually I let my opponents pick 2 of the songs, it gets me to practice some new songs that others seem to like

lol. i remember once, i was at the arcade on a busy friday/saturday night, and there was a guy who had a very, loud, annoying voice (think joan rivers, but higher pitch, and louder). and he talked a lot. he also liked to talk to people about how good he was right when i was playing, his voice messed me up so much... i don't like saying that i can be screwed over on a song that easily, but this guy is something else..

it's ok though, because he tried to leap frog over the bar, and snagged his crotch, i imagine it hurt a great deal. i laughed, everyone else laughed. some people told him to do it again. ha.

i agree about the people who lie about their accomplishments and can't live up to them. i know there are a few where i play.
and i've had my share of playing vs. someone who didn't bathe for a week or something...
i'll admit though that i also acted bad by playing vs. someone and choosing crazy mods (like S4R, 6 option, x2 shuffle flat, etc) thus potentially making them look worse, but even if it were my turn i would let them pick all 3 songs.
