Is it OK (seeing that the 2004 US election is coming up) if people have political banners to show their support for candidates? Or would that count as "advertising?" |

If you read the FAQ, you'll notice it says that advertising in your signature is allowed.
I personally have no problem with it, but I will say that I think that "positive" banners are better than "negative" banners. Promote your own candidate instead of smearing the other one.
And saying something like "A vote for Kerry is an admission of your own idiocy" would be flamebait, and all those rules still apply.
So personally, I think it's fine, just do it according to the regular rules, and don't be a jerk about it. _________________
