What are some DDR stereotypes that piss you off?

i hate wen ppl think that cuz u asian that u automatically good. then think that black ppl suck. that is totally wrong. especially, from wat i hear, sayin hispanic ppl suck. im puerto rican n im ok at the ok. i can at least many/most songs on heavy.

More stereotypes.

- 1. If you play Heavy, you automatically are an anime nerd. I'm an anime fan, but not an anime nerd.

- 2. If you can't pass LoM, you suck. Sure, I may not be be able to pass LoM, but I don't enough stamina to pass it.

3. Standard = noob. I play Standard for my 1st and 2nd just so I can conserve stamina.

4. Heavy player = show off. I don't play to show off, I play because it's fun.

5. A DDR player has all the Dancemania CD's and DDR\Beatmania\Keyboardmania\whatever bemani game soundtracks. I have 3 dancemania cd's and the DDR EXTREME soundtrack thankyouverymuch.

Sterotypes that are huge where I play.

Among Players

1) If you play on 1x, you're automatically better than the people who use speed mods.
2) If you bar-rape at all (even for a 10), you can't pass songs without the bar.
3) If you can AAA anything on heavy, you have no life.
4) If you haven't played on a mix below Extreme, you're a n00b.

Among Ignorant People

1) "They memorize those arrows that are scrolling up"
2) "He put it on heavy mode, that means he's gay and has no life outside of this."
3) "That's not his gf playing beside him, that's his best friend because he's gay."

It's the 1x one that pisses me off the most though. An idiot 1x player was bragging about how he could clear Holic on 1x with an A and how he was so much better than me...when he saw me just AA Exotic Ethnic with 19 greats... so I played Holic, 1x, hidden...8 greats

I hate stereotypes in general.
-If you're asian, you're good at DDR. I'm asian, and I'm OK. Thats about it. I don't play alot anymore.
-If you can play any song on heavy mode, you have no life. Uh no. I have a job, I paintball, and I have schoolwork.
-White people suck at DDR. NOT THE CASE. I've seen white people do some amazing sets.

not to b racist or steriotipic as a white male i can be easily flamed for being a racist but...................ROFL at the thing on black people only playing stomp to ma beat, that is one of the stupidest/funniest things i have heard in a while. good thing ddr dont have country music (unless there is and i dont know about it) then there would prolly b a thing with white people and country.

Strangely, I never heard someone make a stereotypical remark when I'm at the arcade, and I've been playing about a year.

I know some of these have been mentioned before. But I'm a different person. So there.

-All DDRists are gay
-Heterosexuals are gay after they start playing DDR
-You can't have a life and also play DDR
-All DDRists (yes, that's my word) are nerds/geeks/losers/freaks (Not that I take any of these comments offensively, but I'm weird. "Normal" folk would take these four words as insults.)
-Guys are better at DDR than girls (Hey, I'm one of the best DDRists I know IRL. Then again, I don't know a lot of people IRL that play DDR.)
-All Asian people like/are good at DDR and are better than anyone of any other race
-"DDR? Is that the game with all the techno music?" (I have been asked this)
-You have to be able to AAA any song to be good (Hell, I can't even pass most 9-footers, and I'm under the influence that I suck, even though... refer to my previous bracketed comment)
-You suck if you get tired after Heavy songs (I suck then?)
-One word: n00bism
-Big people can't play DDR
