What is DDR to you?

I began playing when I was 14. DDR to me is a game that I felt I had to conquer. Ialready conqured every fighting game, guantlet Legend, and racing game at the arcade so when this came around it was definately somthing I had to do. It's also sort of a way of bringing people together that we would normally never talk to. Plus, it's another way to compete with people and that prove your better than this 12 year old that you just met.

didint reali play seriously till a few months ago, before i couldnt reali beat sakura but then 2 months ago i can pass everyone song except PSM290ONI. DDR is just something to take my mind of things its just something to do that i enjoy its sort of like a hobby but i mean its not my religion or anything its just something i enjoy.

I haven't been playing that long, only just under two months. My friend who is on heavy pressured me to beat him. I've never been able to beat him in anything so it like gave me the motivation to get good at something. I've been working really hard, and now it seems like it's not just to prove something to him, but to prove something to myself--that if I have confidence I can do whatever I want. This time, I won't give up until I feel like I've done my best.

When: About two weeks ago.

My best friend, Riki, has been obsessed for about a month, he kept talking about it all the damn time, and I couldn't stand the game. I couldn't play it and always thought people would make fun of me if I tried. One day I went over to his house and he forced me to play. Now I annoy the hell out of him because after every three hours of playing I'm like "Come on man! Let's play DDR!" even when I first wake up in the morning. Of course he gets tired a lot quicker because he's on heavy. lol, He's created a monster.

to me, ddr is a fun and addicting way to excercize. i've been playing about 10 months. me and my friend will usually get together and play it once a week.

DDR is a challenge to push myself as far as I can. It has become my greatest talent and my favorite way to excercise. Also, I met some cool ppl through DDR. I can finally compete in something! w00t!

why, ddr is just a fun thing to do. i do it so much because there's not really many other hobbies i have (i have theatre at school, but that's it). i like being good at something. again, not many things im good at, im not even good at ddr, but im getting there, and that's saying something. it's a hobby, it's something i do to pass time and to have fun.

play time, i could be either by myself or in a large group of like, 10 people, it depends, i play at least once a week, usually around 2 or 3 times a week.

To me ddr is a challenge that keeps me in shape and is fun. like the poster before me i don't have a lot of hobbies and i don't do sports until spring.
the arcade i go to has 5th mix, extreme, and solo 2000 which i play alot.
i play pretty much every day at home for about 4 hours but 2 or 3 times a month at the arcade.

to me ddr is like keeping myself in tip top shaped and its fun, good way to meet new people, well i dont do sports Hell NO!!! so i play ddr like every week when not working however our machine is in ABQ so I miss it badly.
