Soft/Metal pad discussion stickies

I just recently bought DDR, and was hoping that the Console Games forum would help, but finding two huge threads on pad discussion was not very fun.

It would probably be a lot more helpful to everone to have a separate forum for pad discussion. It would save a lot of time for the mods from having to lock threads, and people probably don't post in the stickies in the first place becuase they're so big. It would also be a lot more helpful for newbies like me.

The eternal question...

Okay. People continually seem to misunderstand how the pad stickies work.

There's a first post which should always be updated with a summary of all the current information available.

And then there's the Search tool which you could use to try to find the answer to your question(s).

Then there's the last two or three pages of the sticky thread, which should be enough to give you an idea of what direction the thread is going. You can ask your question in there and likely get a swift response. As long as it's not something that's answered in the first post, you should be fine.

We don't ask you to read 55+ pages of a thread (unless you demonstrate that you've already got loads of time on your hands ), so please don't let the size of those stickies scare you.
