why is HVAM so addicting? every time i watch someone else on heavy, they always pick HVAM. i love that song too, but i don't know why. i'm pretty sure the heart moniter beeping in the background subconsciencely(sp?) draws someone to play it, or something like that. wtf is up with that song?

The song must just have something special. I personally like it when the song freezes for a split second and the people playing it don't know it does that.

Personally, I hold this song in great contempt. It's a song that was only made just to wind someone. The steps aren't any good at all, and can be very awkward. The music is awful compared to the original as well. I only play it to prove I can AA, never out of choice.

First, it's addictive, but yeah, that song is fun. Good shizzle. I just beat it with a B first try for heavy, but i've been avoiding it remembering the struggle for beating it on standard. It is quite tough for a standard song.

It's easy on Standard. Hard on Heavy. :[

I love HVAM! *angelic music springs in background* I love both mixes myself(HV and HVAM), but I prefer HVAM by far. I don't think I couldn't dream to pass either of them on heavy for a while, but that's okay, they're still uber fun.

Wouldn't it be awesome if the opening or 6 seconds stayed like that for the length of a whole song riiight.gif

Myself, I love HVAM, but not the original. Why? Well...it's just boring....simply put, HVAM is a rush and (pretty much) non stop dancing, where as...HV (non "AM" mix) is just....step step step-step-step step step step-step-step sloooooooooow down...step-step...step-step...step...step. That and the ending is retarded (last 8 seconds or so)

My $0.02~

i love the song HVAM but the steps are hard. IMO i think that the heartbeat monitor thing in the background is kind of annoying, but i still love the song.

Very fun song indeed. I prefer it over the original because of the beeping sound of a heart monitor. Gets me going. The steps are just as fun too since they add with the intense stepping. That's why after the pause when it's nonstop it's so cool happy.gif

The song is tempting to play because it's high-frequency techno (or even speed techno, but I don't really know how to determine that from regular techno). That's pretty much it. That, and the fact that the last 35 seconds (approx.) are nonstop eigth note step patterns. High-pitched beeps could probably subliminaly make anyone turn heads.

Beside technical reasons, it has that atmospheric, yet pulsating feel to it, and that makes it a cool song to watch.

It's been stated before, but, HVAM also tells a story about a survived patient in the hospital. It's truly a better-than-average DDR song.

Meh, the steps are kinda fun if you do them the right way. As for a song that's made just to wind someone... Daikenkai.. >_> So many parts in that song where you're practically forced to double step / slide.

I think it's safe to say that most like HVAM. It's a very adrenaline pumping song compared to most in partly due to the heartbeat in the background and the jaw dropping steps. So..funness all around!
