Hello everyone! I have a 6-button metal pad ddr. The cable and its 9-pin female connector (D-sub connector) has been pulled off accidentally. Underneath the DDR pad are wires connected from the circuit board to the 9-pin female connector. The point where wires are ripped off is on the 9-pin female connector. All the wires were ripped off on solder points of every pin of the 9-pin female connector. My problem is which wire (color) connects to the corresponding pin number (which is 1 to 9) of the female connector. I know somebody out there knows about this, so I can repair my DDR. Thanks a lot in advance.

I'm going to leave this open, because I think it'd be nice to have a thread on electronics. It'll be closed and made searchable for future reference as soon as we have a solid answer.

Seeing as this is not a common question, the thread may just die. In the mean time, I'd suggest searching Google for 'Electronics DDR MyMyBox Pad', or some variation on the words and such and see what you can come up with.

I don't know how "openable" your pad is, but are the contacts easy to get to? Do you know anyone else with the same pad? You could just get a multimeter or continuity checker to trace the contacts. I'd offer to help, but I have RO's, and while they're probably of similar circuit design, they're a bit more difficult to take apart. E13.gif

I thought of that jason and actually that is one of the simplest and practical way I can think of, by opening a similar one. The electronic parts are so accessible that I can easily read the assignment number of every pin and its corresponding wire to it. But I don't know anyone who has the same like mine. I tried searching the google just like what you said Cutriss and I saw a similar one but still not the exact one. I will examine this and see if I can adapt to it. Thanks for you help guys.
