thats funny.. PIU lost it's creative modes too - Division, Half Double, Union, The ORIGINAL Battle mode, Rush

Well they did replace some of the stuff with other things but still... nothing makes up for the loss of Division mode.

Anyhow PIU is seriously a better game for Freestyling, the up, down, left, right pattern doesn't work too well for FSing

I love you. I love you, I love you, I love you. There really are people out there who believe DDR and PIU have their own qualities and to think one absolutely sucks while the other is the end-all-be-all amazing dance game is stupid. Oh how I love you.

And... I agree. PIU is more fun to play. It might be because I've played DDR for almost four years now, and PIU is still sort of a "new" game to me because I've played it all of maybe six times (that center button kills me, but that gives me more incentive to try harder). While the music isn't AWESOME (DDR's music isn't all that great either), it's still good enough to please my ears and make me enjoy the game I'm playing.

Eh sorry man but thanks for correcting me riiight.gif
I've just recently started getting into Pump...I've only played like OBG and PREX3, so the older stuff that they took out - unfortunately - I didn't get to enjoy that goodness. E2.gif

I'm hoping like nuts that my local arcade (the only one near me decent enough to HAVE a Pump machine) upgrades theirs to Exceed...otherwise I guess I'll have to wait for a PC release or something *sigh*

Oh ya and thanks for the kind words Avignon E4.gif

This is one of those times where we need an emoticon of someone shooting himself in the head while hanging himself in his closed garage with the car running.

The song in the commercial was a somewhat techno version of Vivaldi's Winter, which was also redone by Banya and called Winter in Pump it Up. Taka also redid the song and called it V, and it's in DDR and Beatmania IIDX.

Everything I just said is already in this thread, numerous times.

lesson to learn: pump is a helluva lot cooler than ddr laugh.gif

Because the "Champion" from Wisconsin doesnt play Pump, as he was auditioned on DDR. The guy from china, or "china" playes Pump.

I saw the commercial on TV a couple of days ago. I gotta admit, it was pretty cool to see a Bemani game on the tube. So let's stop all this talk about "DDR is better" and "they totally screwed the DDR and PIU community" and "like omg, it was just so like just like wow".

:People start singing Kumbaya in background:

Let us just come together, hold hands, and celebrate that a Bemani game actually got on TV. Whether it's PIU, or DDR, or IIDX, Bemani is a wonderful thing, and we are a wonderful people. Spread the love.

**P.S.- Ya gotta wear the Chuck Taylors, uhh-yea**

the first time i saw the commercial i didnt know what to make of it...all i saw was that the white guy beat the asian dude and that just seemed a little not-right...and when i went to the site and read the thing about the white guy's dad playin with crates, x-mas lights, and a boombox...i HIGHLY doubt that PIU started like that...ive never played PIU before and im always playin DDR and i think PIU would be somethin fun to try...but yeah i live in oklahoma so that wont happen for a while...

PIU isn't really Bemani since Bemani is Konami's sound simulation department (Pump is made by Andamiro). But, I get the gist of what you were saying. It was a music game and it was given some time on TV, something that is usually pretty positive.

Are there any other songs in DDR based on classical music? I know there's End of the Century, Speed over Beethoven, and, apparently, V. Are there any others? Cuz i really like those kind of songs. laugh.gif
